Android 11 and Renpy (updated)
Added 2021-09-18 14:00:44 +0000 UTCThere are some known issues with Android apk files generated on the latest versions of Renpy. It has to do with getting the apk files ready for the Play Store, and the result is that these apk files randomly crash when played on Android 11 devices, which thanks to auto updating, is now most devices.
Luckily I have an older computer that has an older version of Renpy that doesn't have this problem, so here is the android version of Hopepunk City, it says it is 1.0 but really it is 0.99, still in beta.
I basically had to "fork" the android version, and I do not know whether it can be released when I release the game publicly next month.
But here it is for Patrons, and I was able to play it through without crashing, so it is much more stable than the version currently on itch,io (which I am taking down)
ETA Updated this file on Sunday 9/19 at 8 PM Eastern. I spent most of Sunday playing this android version fixing bugs and places where the text overlapped the screen. Got all 70 achievements, and the epilogue works. Everything is working right as far as I can tell.
