Do you think in your narrated videos you could drop the audio from the original video a bit? It's kinda hard to hear you sometimes.

Why are most restorers obsessed with these dull, unimaginative colors? You have the power to give your projects any combination of colors chosen among thousands of hues, and it's always black, grey, green. Sometimes red for large hand tools or blue for vises. There isn't a lilac, salmon, burgundy, lime, or any pastel or fluorescent hue, no complementary or contrasting color themes...
You, who are in fact an artist (mechanic, singer, video editor, narrator) could do so much with color...

Sooooo about that roller cover shield with the hole in it, IF you really wanted I could weld that closed... Ive seen/done worse to far more critical components with trickier alloys...
Not saying its gonna be easy, it would take time and the finish work would be a pain, BUT if it was worthy it was still totally savable...
If you still have it and you dont care how long it takes, send it to me and ill remove the open spaces and smooth it back out. Im not a painter tho so final bodywork/finish would be up to you...

Ooooo the brass is just beautiful. You will be the talk of the neighborhood with that mower on a Saturday morning.

It was probably on a golf course. Im guessing it was the greens keeperβs precision mower for getting putting green carpet smooth. The shop could have used whatever was on hand. The paint was def different every time they slapped it back together.

People forget just how expensive a lot of ordinary things were 100 years ago. They see the price back then with no understanding of just how expensive that really was for the time. Nor do they realize how inexpensive similar items are today.

Could this be a specialty lawnmower for mowing putting greens? The smooth roller makes more sense and the really fine adjustments of the reels.

$7,000 mower! Could you buy a few goats to do the same thing for less? Probable was purchased by the Bezos of the day because very few could afford them. Very nice work. You turned in to a piece of art.

This thing is absolutely terrifying and that is before you get it started.
I am quite sure restoring this is the equivalent of breaking the seal on one of those Egyptian crypts. And then it moves.
Spot on job and when you get sucked into a steampunk time brass portal, don't mention us.

Jeez. Been waiting badly for this. Even watched the old classics over and over again. Vertical Steam Engine, Drag Saw, Sally Saw... No it's time to mow!
