Love the narrated videos.

Nice! I actually break a lot of bolts in the upcoming restoration.

new patron here! can't wait until you do the whole machine :) Im so jealous of the ease your stuff disassembles. I volunteer on a WWII gunboat, its over 75 years of saltwater, and layers and layers of paint, built by low bidder, and not intended to "come back" or be maintained. I can spend days drilling out one or two stainless bolts that simply won't remove with any amount of torching, break-free or kerosene soaking!

Excellent video as always! Thank you.

The narrated vids are well worth the patreon support. Great channel, awesome work!

Oh, hey! You're finally restoring the washer to go with the nut and bolt you restored last year....

Hey HTR, I was just thinking. I know what the "M" stands for on the carb, Mikuni. Any news on the titanium prybar/screwdriver?

Wilmer Schock

Well that is good to know!

Hand Tool Rescue

It's a Billings & Spencer No. 21. They are cool.

So slightly useless fun fact about asbestos, only one variety of it actually causes the nasty cancer bit. The rest are (slightly) benign and can be quite useful. The hard part is that you need a microscope to tell which type you have... hence why all of them get the bad rap. The dust from any of them is still bad because they are silicates which cause silicosis. Having your lungs turn to stone is not really a good thing... Nice job on the motor! sucks about the flywheel casting Keep up the good work!

What kind of screwdriver were you using when you took apart the governor? You showed it on screen for a second but I have no idea what it is... And I need one now.

It's nice to be spoiled every once in a while :)

Almost too satisfying...

Hand Tool Rescue

We were both happy.

Hand Tool Rescue

You're fun.

Hand Tool Rescue

Haha thanks! Luckily I had the spare motor to salvage a bunch of parts from.

Hand Tool Rescue

Fun! It _is_ satisfying to have all those little parts available.

I liked the little pat-pat-pat you gave the crankshaft after you were done re-sizing the connecting rod bearing.

Greg Steinmayer

That was fun.

Magneto... The Governor... it was like a Marvel comic, only better! It had to feel so pleasant to complete such a nice restoration, and in so many ways. I'm pretty sure I did see you put the woodruff key in and align the flywheel over it, complete with tightening the nut and a cotter pin - so I think you're right that there was a flaw in the casting. But of course! You had an extra!! Very nice my friend.
