Here, I just wanted to see Amity and Lilith actually spend time together and examine Lilith's teaching method.
I recall some people saying that Luz won her fight against Amity due to "plot armor," but I always had this reasoning in mind: Luz found the one thing that makes Amity lose her temper and control.
I never drew it, but I considered drawing the fight between Luz and Adeghast, the puppeteer. Her strategy would have been attacking more of his puppets rather than him, because she saw how devastated he was when she destroyed just one. It would've been a strong indicator that Luz, while not all that strong in a world of magic, is able to pinpoint people's attachments and emotional turmoil.
For this arc, Lilith hints that she's capable in this way too. And that she'll teach Amity how not to fall for Luz's tactic again.

2022-12-15 00:13:11 +0000 UTCI'm pretty sure Luz won the fight because she's crafty. That trick would've worked even if she hadn't brought up Amity's family. But now Amity will know to exploit Luz's weakness. And she knows how Luz fights.
