The hair, the correct side of the eye (the one Obito theoretically still had), Tobi's goofiness (why he couldn't just be Madara), and ofc the name (To-Bi-To), were all hints that we Tobito-theorists saw and pointed at. Plus, we never saw Obito, like, die die. Unfortunately, I took a break from the manga a year before the reveal and missed my opportunity to celebrate and gloat...

I like the twist but they made it to obvious if your paying attention you can kind of figure it out after kakashis flashback bridge arc and knowing tobi is a one eyed sharigan user the opposite side that kakashi has. Now im open to criticism for this next part but it’s what I would have personally done. I would have made it the ramen stand guy. He’s been around since the beginning. Knows leaf village protocol and always has his eyes shut so wouldn’t ever know if he had sharingan. My take would be he went to the leaf after meeting madara and giving him the now dead obito’s eye that madara managed to take. And his reason for wanting to erase reality is that his daughter was killed in a horrible way and this whole time she was just a zetsu clone to help keep up the undercover act. It would have been a lot more personal and emotional to Naruto. One of the first people to show kindness to him turned out to be his biggest enemy and the killer of his parents.

2025-07-21 17:33:15 +0000 UTCgot some epic fight scenes here before the actual reveal, they knew how to hype us up and build up the anticipation :D Kakashi being big brain as always :) we saw the kid versions of Gai, Genma and Ebisu together on a team, led by Choza, Hayate and Ibiki were together on the same team too when they faced Anko, her team had Orochimaru as their sensei :) Obito was really helping the elderly what a good kid he was :D poor guy got KO'd by Gai in an instant xD

I remember back in the day, Tobi being Obito was quite a major theory so it didn't hit as much for me but we used to also think the akatsuki 'leader' Pain was Minato so there was always a chance that theory was also wrong but the tobito theory definitely had more foundations of truth!

Tsunade remembers the 1st hokage, and hiruzen was trained by the second hokage so yeah the "different time" is not as great as it appears
