DAY 3
It's taking form. This afternoon I discovered I had acrylic retarder medium which slows downs the acrylic drying time to make it work more like oils. I tried it and it was almost the same thing. So... I think the acrylic phase is over. The next layers will be oils (water soluble oil, to be precise).
Next post I'll take a wider photo so you can see my setup. This is my first painting studio.

DAY 1
Here's a peek at the first day of this process. It looks embarrassingly awful right now. I'm not sure what the fuck I'm doing, to be honest -- which by the way is the reason I decided not to record or stream it. I have to figure out how to paint, my brain can't handle the extra task of figuring out how to stream or make a video. One step at a time and all that.
Btw, I f'd up from the start. I traced my guide over the blank canvas when I should've painted the whole canvas gray before that. oh well.

Hi.
I'm so sorry I've been quiet for so long. I've been going through some stuff. I ended my venlafaxine treatment and it's taking several weeks for my brain and body to adjust. It's getting better.
My plan for this year was -- still IS -- to start a youtube channel. That hasn't happened yet because I need a new place to record and I wasn't able to move in January, and blah blah... shit has happened. Pfff... and now WWIII is about to begin -- for fucks sake!

Hello.
Here are the first sketches from my new sketchbook. The first one is a copy of a photo by someone else — I don't know the photographer or model's name. Next: ideas for my Rapture project, followed by a copy a screenshot from a p0rnhub video. And the last one is based on a photo of a sculpture.
Note: I had to wrote "p0rnhub" because writing the real name goes against Patreon guidelines... *sighs*. Patreon, the number one supporter of rule34 fanart doesn't allow us to write done the word P O R N.
Oh! and instagram took down my last erotic piece (which was censored) because it was considered "solicitation" or some bs like that. I can post illustrations depicting murder though. Murder is not a problem, soft erotica is.

Ok, I know you're here for illustrations not for some nerd-ass architectural fan project. Worry not! I have some pencil drawings I will upload pretty soon.
Back to my Rapture project... The map you see here shows the blocks of the city, each color representing a different elevation (10 meters increments).
I started working on Hepheaustus, and after doing a lot of research on hydrothermal vents, thermal power generation, 1940s power plants, and industrial art deco, I made startling discovery. You won't believe this -- but -- Hepheastus as seen in Bioshock was not designed with realism in mind. *Surprised face*. What I mean is, with all the other levels in Bioshock I can look for real-life equivalents and work from that. In the case of Hephaestus core, I couldn't find any piece of machinery that looks remotely like what you see in there. And that is really annoying to my obsessive little mind.
I will probably take a long break from this project.

I'm sorry I have been silent for a while. I haven't been in the best mental state and I've been kinda creatively spent -- illustration wise. I needed a break from painting so I went back to an old passion project of mine which I've posted about before: my real scale model of Rapture. Here's how it's looking so far. (The full city picture is not the latest though.)
The Welcome Center building is coming along nicely.

I was doodling and browsing my collection of erotic photos and I came up with this. I will probably finish this one before the Noir stuff because, well, this one is a lot simpler. No background.
Ok, I shouldn't be telling you what I'm about to tell you: I plan to start painting with real oils on real canvas next year and doing a youtube channel about it. What do you think? Good idea?

OK here's the plan:
I'll take around 12 of Castlevania's recurrent monsters and do 2 versions of each. The Remaster, which keeps the design as in the game just realistic and with added detail, and then My take on the monster.
In related news... today, while looking for Castlevania references on facebook, I learned that a new game was recently added to Apple Arcade. "Gri-something of Souls" is called. It came out last year but it was full of mobile-gaming bullshit like micro-transactions and 3 different currencies, and boring loot. All that stuff. Thankfully Apple said, "If you want your game in Arcade, take all that shit out".
