I'm feeling very happy right now :D Regarding the OP, I prefer the S1 OP (because Creepy Nuts, obviously, but also because it felt more out-of-the-box with all its unusual animation techniques, striking visuals and in-your-face colour contrasts), but this one has its charm too. It feels like they took the good parts of the first one and remade them into a slightly more traditional OP. I'd call it a deconstruction of the first OP with the focus on paying homage to traditional anime OP tropes. I like it, just not as much as S1. On the other hand, I prefer this new ED by a mile. It feels like it could be an OP almost. There's so much to love about it: the quirky art style, the music, the animations, the good vibes. It's soooo, so, soooooo good!

It appears to be more on the logistical side of securing available broadcasting time slots which are decided at least a year in advance. Then it becomes more of a marketing tactic of how they're going to promote the show. So instead of saying S1 Cour 1 in Fall 2024 and Cour 2 in Summer 2025 since they're so far apart, they just classified them as different seasons.

I like the OP more than the ED for sure, but it may grow on me who knows edit: forgot to mention the look through Okarun's eyes in the OP reminds me of what Apothecary Diaries did for it's current ED
