2025-09-17 04:44:10 +0000 UTCyour media literacy is low bud. Nighteye simply says his theory, he has no way of knowing whether or not he's right. Its just what he thinks in that moment. If you believe every single word spoken by characters at their face value, you're missing out on a lot of interesting things that happen in narrative story telling. Hero Academia specifically also likes to utilize "Unreliable Narrator" when it comes to characters talking about things they experienced or remembered.

Unnecessary mistakes like that completely pull me out of the story - especially when it's an internal contradiction within the story itself.
