She was finding a way to get closer to him in order to stab him and poison him. You have to remember that the bits of the story that you have watched, the characters in the story have not. Sakura has zero idea that Sasuke has a Susanoo and all this stuff, or how twisted he really is at this point in the story.

Like how Tsunade never did anything about Sasuke being a rouge ninja out there causing chaos (1 example) but everything Danzo does for the leaf is also done with HIS best interests in mind. It's all self serving. To achieve his goals. lol and yeah I don't like him and Im glad he's gone. For Sasuke it's complicated (I talk enough about it in all my videos lol) we've been with him since day one and I'm holding out for him to change and I'm lookin forward to seeing where the story goes. Because Sasuke has Naruto whos not giving up on him, I think Sasuke will ultimately learn the hard way and maybe eventually come around. But Danzo - bitter man never learned a thing.

Danzo is a bad guy but always acted in what he thought was best for the leaf, sasuke has always acted what he thought was best for himself.

Directly showing exactly what moments a person is thinking about right there, what they are thinkingto drive their next decision. 2025-02-14 20:24:36 +0000 UTCIt’s been forever since I’ve seen this, so I don’t remember exactly what happens next, but I find it so strange that you didn’t for even a second consider that Sakura might be lying to Sasuke. She spent several episodes and traumatized Naruto all for the purpose of deciding Sasuke was her problem and she needed to kill him herself rather than rely on others. It’s pretty clearly established even in her own thoughts as she runs there that she feels like she needs to take him out. My very first thought was “oh she’s obviously lying to get close to him.”

2025-02-14 16:37:29 +0000 UTCIncoming Sakura rant for anyone that cares. TLDR at bottom. I often find that people tend to misunderstand Sakura's character. She isn't just a poorly written female. She's actually a fairly well written heavily flawed character. It's easy to dismiss her failures and weakness as bad writing when comparing her to the heroic mc naruto or the rogue anti-hero sasuke. That being said, she's not really meant to measure up to them. Even though some of her "fans" would claim she does. Sakura has always been stated to be intelligent based on her knowledge and ability to control chakra. However, we see that even though she is smart, her fatal flaw is how heavily she relies on her emotions in her decision making. In part one her major turning point was the scene she cuts her hair off symbolizing her shift in priorities. She no longer cares about looking perfect for Sasuke but instead wants to be useful to team 7. While she may not care as much about her looks anymore, the next decision she makes is emotionally begging Naruto to bring back Sasuke. After Naruto fails she becomes determined to catch up to Naruto and Sasuke in ability and finally starts training. In Shippuden we immediately see the fruits of her training with the second bell test. She is then tested to an extreme when facing Sasori, although it is important to recognize that Chio was crucial to that fight as her experience and guidance is the reason they won the battle and not Sakura's personal ability. That fight demonstrated that Sakura now has the strength and knowledge to defeat an opponent as powerful as Sasori, but on her own Sakura is never shown to have the battle capabilities to face an enemy like that. This is proven in the next arc when Naruto and Sakura are first sent on a mission without Kakashi looking over them. During the face off against Orochimaru, Sakura is unable to take any actions until she emotionally reaches out to Naruto while he is being controlled by the nine tails. Allowing her emotions to hurt not only herself but Naruto in the process. In the Pain arc we finally see her put some of her medical training to use as she leads the hospital. This once again shows her intelligence, yet just a few episodes later we see her incapable of doing anything except yell for Naruto's help and completely rely on him. Then when the cloud ninja start asking about Sasuke she becomes unable to even defend herself from simple attacks and continues to rely on Naruto. This all culminates to my point that Sakura is the slowest character to change in the entire show. She might gain knowledge and strength, but her fatal flaw continues to impede her as a ninja. We're finally at the point where Sakura is truly attempting to take matters into her own hands. She now recognizes that her selfish emotions have caused Naruto a great deal of pain. We'll have to wait and see what comes of this, if her character changes, or if she will continue to allow her emotions to control her. While all of this does make Sakura a bad ninja, I do not agree it means she is a bad character. TLDR: In my opinion Sakura isn't poorly written. She's intentionally written to be flawed. She is just an ordinary girl meant to show the contrast between herself and the two MC's. You're not really supposed to like her.

Well, Madara just takes it, I guess.🤷♂️ Otherwise these episodes come close to being filler with all these flashbacks we have seen 30 times already...it truly is far worse in the anime in comparison to the manga. The Naruto anime pacing truly is all over the place.
