It has even been remastered at least four times throughout the series. Fans sing this OP at conventions, cinemas, bars... it’s insane. Watch or listen on Youtube to the video "We Are Opening | One Piece 1000 Episode Grand Rex French Cinema Reaction" (beware of spoilers from the visuals). This took place at the Grand Rex in Paris during the screening of the 1000th episode of the series. Absolutely incredible.

He also said the One Piece is nothing metaphorical. I’m glad you mentioned the opening theme, it’s great isn’t it? It has just the perfect tone for the anime and really puts me in the right mood right at the start.

Coby was willing to die... with a gun to his head... and Luffy was the one who said so. And Roronoa (we almost never say this part of his name, usually we just say Zoro) anyway Zoro was willing to die as well...he subjected himself to a challenge and put his life on the line. Both of them could have died under other circumstances... actually Luffy saved them both. Meanwhile with an axe over his head, Luffy paid no attention... as we see Zoro put the white katana (sword) between his teeth... and he in turn saved Luffy. Nice. Years and years later when you've grown up watching One*Piece you will have learned the lesson that someday when you've found something worth it, you too might stake your life on something, to fulfill your dream. They teach us things we may only understand later... I just noticed it right now myself from this episode, lol. Insert grin right around here.

Maybe they're 1/3rd in or less but they've enjoyed it so much that looking back at how far they've gone then looking forward they can see that they'll never want the journey to end. Is that a spoiler?, it sort-of is, because you're already on the journey and it is something you will find out after a while... it should be your discovery to take for yourself. Anyway please enjoy, and I will love coming along 😊

The first chapter of the manga is actually Luffy's backstory with Shanks, so the anime did a slight switchup in chronology by putting it after Shells Town (the town where Luffy picked up Zoro). This could explain why Morgan was familiar with the straw hat without knowing who Luffy was. Also, it's fitting that you released this episode on February 7th as it is actually the in-world date that Luffy left his hometown and set sail to become a pirate. It's a very little known canon lore that was made known in 2010 when Shonen Jump released a calendar of "key dates" for each manga in its anthology at the time. For the record, the calendar also revealed that Naruto mastered his "Sexy Jutsu" on January 1st.
