Ep 168 Naruto complaining for the first time

Kaalinnguaq Skade

Hey!! lol I actually saw your comment - I’m glad you’re here, thanks and welcome to the community! 🥰✊🏻❤️‍🔥

Jessica McCann

OK just watched u tube reaction and had to sign up because I couldn't wait to see flexie meet Minato!

SKR_13

My mother emotionally abused me and my sister growing up, ending up with her self-deleting in front of 6yo me… To me that’s the ultimate betrayal. I *cannot* forgive it, but I can understand what led her to it and I harbor no ill will towards her. (She was resuscitated, but complete personality shift, so i consider who she was still gone). It’s why I resonate with Naruto so deeply, lack of familial connections and friends. It’s actually been such a great series for me, especially this arc. I’m so glad to see you enjoying it too homie! ❤️

henuhre

True! Though I suppose Tobi could just pop out there anytime he wanted

VT

Tbf Naruto could sense with Sage Mode if Nagato (and Konan) were alone or not.

MtRexX

Naruto took a big risk going alone lmao, he was more or less out of chakra and for all he knows Pain could have had Tobi or Kisame there with him (or Pain could still have had enough power to fight back, or Konan could have stalled out his sage mode).

VT

Ah you missed the end credit scenes in the prev episodes where naruto hinata and sakura explained the previous outro where hinata was on a bicyle.. It was funny

Jcbat21

Yea them onion eyes hittin me over here too

Kenny Costa

I would have never have come to understand "forgive but not forget" if not for someone teaching it to me, I just didn't have it in me to understand it on my own. It totally makes sense now, and is essential life advice.

I actually want to say, that your comment about Pain being a Kami, and there being a lack of translation is very well taken. I still think the 9 tails was beyond Pain. Pain fought an absolutely epic battle, that will go down in the annuals of anime history as being one of the best. But I also think that Pain was outmatched here. Kurama is different. His Pain is the greatest.

Alex Hencher

Don't necessarily disagree but as you said, the 1 body that can absorb Jutsu would be pretty useful. We know this one can absorb Ninetails chakra, so it could potentially neutralize the big chakra hand attacks. The summoning one could also be pretty useful. The visual link between the 6 would also help, sooo it's really not that clear. Also, Nagato in his prime would again be an entirely different story. So, I don't actually think Ninetails made Pain look weak here. There are only very few others who could go up against him like that.

Lighto San

I don't see any of the other bodies achieving much against a powered up 9 tails. Potentially the guy that absorbs would be pretty useful, but the others would just get ripped apart.

Alex Hencher

🖤🖤

Pallo

My wife taught me forgiveness. I watch her forgive her father for all the abuse she had to go through because of him. He didn’t deserve forgiveness but carrying that is like a poison that only affects the person who was wronged not the person who wronged them. But forgive never forget.

BoyBovine

lo key sad that you didn't call out him saying "give up on me giving up" BUT! Thanks for the consistent uploads through the holidays! Cant wait to see you in 2025!

hoobity

The way I've always seen it... Naruto let Nagato hit him with the rod so Nagato can understand Naruto's own pain.

Capihood

We learned more about flexie's pain now then we have from the start of this show. Now we can understand each other.

One piece is out there

I mean, he put 1 of Pains bodies into it's place after Naruto himself already took out 5 of them. If the 6 bodies would've still been there this could have gone entirely differently. Also, Nagato technically didn't call himself a god but a kami instead which is an entirely different concept. We just sadly do not have a better word to translate the concept of kami which is why they are called gods outside of Japan. But for starters, in Japanese mythology there actually were humans who achieved the status of being a Kami. So Pain calling himself a Kami isn't actually unreasonable. Especially if he knows about what the Rinnegan actually is and where it originates from. From his point of view he must've been a descendent of the person who basically created the Ninja world. That would be pretty worthy of the title Kami.

Lighto San

Forgiveness is a difficult thing, not all creatures are capable of it. Therefore, revenge is created and some may call it justice

Sanji Sanji

This arc should be shown in schools. The philosophy of pain. Understanding one another and breaking the cycle of hatred. Furthering his reason for saving Sasuke cause he’s the only one to understand his pain. Brilliant writing

Alex Ramgoonai

That’s a great way to put it

Gyt

Cant wait for the next episode.. and also excited for future episode (far away from here) Happy New Year Flexie. ❤❤❤ Ray

These scenes always make me feel bad for the Ninetails. For as long as we've known the Ninetails has either been used for war or sealed away. They always say it's an evil beast that causes senseless destruction but if it's senseless then it can't be evil. If we compare it to the Onetails then the Ninetails really doesn't seem evil at all. I mean did Ninetails ever keep Naruto awake for years on end and kill anyone who got near him? Nope, in fact it really didn't do anything for a decade until Naruto called upon it's chakra. Sure Naruto had a special seal on his stomach but even when it weakens the Ninetails isn't in Naruto's head insulting him like Sukuna. He just wants to be free again but instead has to watch Naruto say some dumb shit and get punched by Sakura for the 800th time. Bro is tired Always made me wanna know more about the lore behind the beasts and how each of them see humanity given their treatment

Waver

Totally agree about not wanting Naruto to win in that way. Well said Also I never noticed the water jutsu and Yahiko's chakra nature. That's super cool

Waver

Kyubi really is the physical incarnation of raw power. We finally learned that Naruto only has half of Kyubi's power...only half...and he managed to put Pain in his place with relative ease. Shows the hubris and arrogance of humans that they think they can toy with forces of nature. Pain said he was a god, and Kyubi was like, hold my beer.

Alex Hencher

Thank you!

Tom perez

She's having problems with twitch and can't stream on it right now. She's trying to resolve the issue. Keep an eye on her chat, but she'll probably do a whole post as an announcement when she finally gets it running again

Alex Hencher

Hole E chit I'm emotional when I watch this show now that I have a son hahaha

Blurex

Hello, new here, I can’t find you on twitch. Is that where you stream? Great videos btw.

The Tales of a Gutsy Shinobi comes to life!

Alex Dyn

I love how this arc, at some level, is about honoring Jiraiya’s legacy and his relationship with Naruto as Jiraiya’s death was the hardest for me in this series. That line at 26:55 (“Give up on me giving up”) as Naruto strikes Pain with the Rasengan is from Jiraiya’s novel. Just amazing writing in this arc.

Jason

We are being graced by these back to back Naruto reactions Flexie, aren't you the best <3

RadicalMehdi

Naruto gets to meet his dad thats a dream come true :) and what a perfect reaction punching him in the gut :D so now we got 3 people claiming Madara was behind the 9-tails attack, guess he gets outvoted :) Naruto outsmarted PAIN with good old Shadow Clone jutsu he really is the best in the world at that :D damn Sakura got the exclusive front row seat with Hinata, jealous xD love how Naruto is trying to understand everything and wants to connect with PAIN, pushing himself so hard even if he might not be obligated to go through such extremes, fighting against his basic desires to get revenge, makes him a true hero :) Shikaku still the best dad :) time for Naruto to truly master the art of diplomacy :D and also show true strength :)

Kisame

I mean, he had help right from the start with the frogs, so it wasn't really him alone right from the start Ninetails also didn't win the fight, it basically only freed him out of being pinned to the ground. But it also simultaneously almost killed him so that's a pretty rough trade-off

Lighto San

I realize now with flexies additional comment my tip is invalid at the moment but when she gets her account back it will be a good tip 😂

Kaleb

Thank you.. I know the next big arc is filler and I might have to watch that off stream unfortunately - even tho those are some of my favorite streams tbh cause it's so unhinged lol and I hope/pray to have my twitch account back before we reach the 200s!!!

Jessica McCann

Just as a heads up for things she watches live, if you’re subbed on twitch (even with prime) you can go back and watch the full length as soon as stream ends! Unfortunately some bits get muted there for music but still

Kaleb

Finally naruto could beat Pain, with help hahaha

Irico27

Waaaaait... That t shirt you're using!!! Omg 🥹

Luis Alejandro Orjuela

The funny thing about Ninetails VS Pain is that we actually don't want Naruto to win this fight. And if you watch closely at how it's presented it's almost as if Naruto himself (or rather his body) becomes the villain for a short time during this fight. That's because Naruto needs to win this by himself, without being aided by rage & hatred. That's the funny thing about Shounen anime & manga: Usually the character gets empowered by anger and wins the fight due to his emotions. But Naruto needs to win due to his emotional clarity. In that regard Naruto is kind of a subversion of typical Shounen stories. Also, something really interesting: We only see Nagato/Pain use something different then his 6-path Jutsus once and that is when he used that water Jutsu which created a small ocean during 167. Water is actually Yahikos chakra nature and that body is Yahikos body, sooo...yep, that's cool

Lighto San

I like watching your reactions and I miss your live reactions on Twitch. I just wonder, when do you plan to continue your reaction to the next arc of Naruto Shippuden? More power to you Flexie ♥️♥️♥️
