He showed up and then peaced out as soon as he appeared with no backstory or explanation to his wild powers besides worshipping some evil god. I wished we got more explanation about his abilities.

Or maybe ino possess hidan while they're both under shadow possession. It doesn't really matter because Kakazu would have punched a hole in whatever the plan was. The real kicker was that Kakashi still took the blood after he was positive he had nuked kakazu. That's serious contingency thinking, that does justice to kakashi's character. But still.

2024-08-05 16:57:46 +0000 UTCalways a pleasure seeing Shikamaru in action, his work is just so impressive :) we got to see some nice teamwork here as well, though Kakashi and Shikamaru definitely stole the show :D the fighting here was so well done, so satisfying, lovely choreography :) the reveal of Kakuzu's abilities was great as well :) and the little hint of his age was quite a shocker, that he faced the 1st Hokage, dude is ancient :D interesting how he mentioned that there is no such thing as pure immortality, with multiple characters either trying to achieve it or having some way of getting there, but its never straightforward thats true :) Shikamaru finishing off Hidan was so good, that whole sequence was brilliantly done with Asuma and the dialogue and the visuals, just everything you would want :) and then ofc the big bang Naruto finally pulling off the Rasenshuriken and devastating Kakuzu with a beautiful hit :D
