Nanami's "he was originally aiming to be a sorcerer" comment was meant to say that Ijichi is somewhat skilled in using cursed energy, though not at the level of a true sorcerer. Pretty sure he was able to use cursed energy to protect his body somewhat while being stabbed, in order to limit the damage. He was still critically injured but was able to keep himself from bleeding out. He just needs to be healed (which Shoko can do if she's here).

The next few episodes are crazy so make sure you do plenty of pausing and paying attention like always so you catch everything! And, for episode 17, don't use the Crunchyroll version
