Thank you! lol

The show is based on some characters in the game. The show acts as prequel story to some characters, sequel story to some others, reveals about unknown stories\easterEggs of some other characters, and some characters that aren't in the league game at all. The game is basically just a 5 vs 5 game of characters pretty much "plucked" from their story lines for an all out battle on the rift. So this is a disclaimer that if anyone spoils you about who is a character and who isn't, doesn't give them plot armor, because these characters could have been plucked from their history for the sake of the game whether they were still alive or not. The best example I could potentially give of this is something along the lines of Mortal Kombat. I am refraining from elaborating more but as you saw already in episode 3, no one is off limits in the show, but the creators of their game love their advertisements. Some are canon. Some are not. Some are alternate timelines or retconned stories etc.. Heck the latest cinematic music video song they put it out is quite literally the death scene of my main playable champion in the game, but I'd never have known that since I still am playing the version of the character before their story was "...over". You know? So while I do say to react to the song after the show, you can fully experience the entire show as it's own standalone bubble without knowing anything about the game. The rest is just Easter eggs for the game lore readers and a dopamine rush for the poor unfortunate souls that play the game :p

Thank you!! Also yes I recognized the name of Shimmer but couldn't place it - and that time jump really got me! much appreciated lol

Hahaha! Oh whoa - I didn't realize she was an actual character in the game thats so cool!

Fun fact. The song that "jinx" was listening to is called Get Jinxed. It was a promo music for the character reveal in League of Legends, and is a banger of a song. You probably could watch it and react to it at some point, maybe after the show is concluded! In fact, since you love video games and magic etc, you would probably extremely love some of the league of legends cinematics as a whole. Each is about 3-5 minutes but if you think the animation and quality is great in arcane, i guarantee you that some of those cinematics are going to leave you breathless. League of Legends has GORGEOUS cinematics and a great show to watch... just... you know... save yourself and your sanity from the game itself lol. For me, my dawnfall was actually non-other than jinx. it's been nearly a decade, but Jinx cinematic is the cinematic that got me to try league for the first time with friends and she was the first character i ever tried in game, and now I do the equivalent of AA meetings to try to not relapse into league again :P

The time jump was. 6-7 years, for the record.

Jinx is my favorite character

I'm so excited for you to keep watching this show! The first two episodes are good, but episodes 3 and 4 are like a freaking rocket ship that take the show to a different level, and it stays there the rest of the season

Two things I wanted to point out, because based on your reactions I'm not sure if you remembered. First, you clocked the barrels of shimmer early in the episode but shimmer is not actually a new thing, that's the stuff Silco was already using in previous episodes to make the one guy go all mutant-like and crazy. Second, and maybe you did remember this but you just didn't react to it, the sheriff Marcus is the guy that made the deal with Silco in the last episode that ended up getting the previous sheriff killed (the lady with the raspy voice)

Charles

😄 haha! 🩵
