2023-11-26 03:43:24 +0000 UTCthis was quite a shock when it came out nobody really expected a written test, people are always used to tournaments in anime so this was a nice change :D fun fact Kishimoto originally didnt want to do the Chunin Exams, he didnt want any tournament arc or stuff like that, he wanted a different approach to how this story would develop, but then got persuaded to take this route, the show though does realize his original idea later on when its convenient :)
