Yeah as someone who loves Helga as a character this episode has always annoyed me. There's just something about her bullying in this one that feels TOO mean even for her and Arnold immediately getting in trouble the ONLY time he ever retaliates is ridiculous.

2025-09-09 00:04:23 +0000 UTCYeah not gonna lie I didn't care much for the Helga episode. While we all can understand her actions it doesn't excuse them. And I don't like how to episode tries it's best to justify or excuse them. We've seen Helga be mean before Arnold but never to this point where he was pushed to a breaking point. Arnold getting in trouble for something Helga instigated and then excusing it because she likes him doesn't make that situation understandable or make Helga likable at all. This episode doesn't really give any push back on Helga's behavior at all. Which really hurts the point of it all.
