Beth is in fact Jake's descendant. They won't say this in Distant Lands or F&C, but Shermy and Beth are from 1000 years later. This is according to the staff of the show. Beth is the Pup princess who is rebelling against Jake's grandson, Gibbon, who is somehow still alive after all this time. All the pups have crazy and random powers like Jake and Lady's kids and are descended from them all.

You can do the 4th (Wizard City) before that, but Together Again is the one it's meant to end on
