2025-08-21 22:50:28 +0000 UTCOne of my favorite things about the show is some of the out of pocket things background characters say or do The commentary on Best Friends has this anecdote about screening it and they were having a good time through most of it, but when the present scene happened the room just went dead silent. The bit at the end with reusing an audio clip is one of the known instances of 'meddling' between staff and Nick. There's a similar instance later but we'll get there.

Apparently the ONLY complaint Nick had about Dark Harvest is that it and Best Friends were supposed to be episode 3 together and Nick thought two episodes that dark airing together was too much. They had ZERO problem with the organ harvesting once the order was changed slightly.

It was ranked #1 on WatchMojo.com’s Top 20 Most Disturbing Kids Cartoons and Top 20 Unexpectedly Dark Episodes in Kids’ Cartoons. Moreover, this episode was inspired by a real crime. I don’t know if I can reveal the person’s name, but yes. Also, it’s weird that Gaz isn’t mad about what Zim did.
