Unity: My first WebGL Build!

My unity stuff has been playable only by me for like.. five years at this point. Finally figured out how to host a neat little WebGL build for my stuff.

This is mostly a little engine test, so its not veery playable. E is inventory, C is crouch. UI is made for full screen right now!

Poll: What kind of content do you want to see here?

Alongside the actual Hearts of Iron Old World Blues project, I also do quite a bit of development on tangential side-projects related to it!

One of them I have been working on for about seven months now on-off is a little RPG framework in Unity! The idea of which being that you could make OWB-related vignettes that have OWB characters in a more traditional fallout aesthetic as a isometric RPG, sort of alike to the dating sim we did for 2.0's release, but bigger scope!

A Blast from the Past, as I prepare to post a Dev Teaser!

In 3.2, there was a lot of content I had to scrap as it was iterated through design. One thing of which was the use of the Scarlet Cultist you see in "Lanius's April Fools Tree".
For those that haven't played it, at the end of Lanius's Kaiser's Legion game rule tree you eventually meet a cultist in scarlet robes. He offers Lanius a pen, then tells him to write his name.

The trick is that he can actually put whatever he wants in there, the pen is a instrument of change.

Surprise! A new nation's getting a focus tree in 4.0

As a part of my western brotherhood content, I really needed to get every brotherhood nation on the map settled in their lore and gameplay functionality - this actually extends to The Cause as well!

Thus, they will be getting a bit of a micro-tree in 4.0!

A early iteration of a upcoming leader

This is for a AI leader. Wanted to try to move away from the "Scan Line / Glitch" sort of vibe a lot of our AI leaders go for, felt like a "Wet" leader was a neat concept - reflect degradation through a drippy, faded aesthetic where its hard to make out who they even are.

Ended up going back to a more traditional design for the character after this iteration, but still figured this early design was neat enough to show you guys.

Update Post Mortum: 3.2, Liberty or Death

With 3.2 right around the corner, I figured I would give a different sort of update this time. More of a post mortum of how 3.2 came to be, why it was made and what kind of content you can expect in it.
3.0 in OWB, directly following 2.1 and the inclusion of the Oregon and Utah updates was always slated to be a big update. It was so big that it took us a solid nine months to complete it - with most of the team of 5-15 active developers focusing on the update itself.

New Tree Preview! Summers Federation! Coming in 3.2

Heyo! Here is another little preview for something I have been working on in tandem with Senor Sentro on the public OWB discord - its a Summers Federation tree!
Not particularly huge, but a cute little one that a skilled player should be able to pilot to give Lanius a early upset.

Should be in 3.2, which will hopefully be coming out sooner rather then later!

Small Lanius Update - Unique Continuous Focuses!

This is becoming a bigger tree then I originally intended! Lanius will, after getting the chance to revolt switch to a entirely new tree.

Little Teaser for 3.2!

Hello! Back again to talk about some of the stuff I am working on in a update coming soon.
For 3.2, I am working towards addressing some of the common player issues with Lanius's Cohort and the design of focus trees in 3.0 in general.

The biggest issue? Not enough player freedom! 3.0 had a lot of "No, don't do this!" design with the smart faction triggers and the general lack of alternative routes.
