This commission imagines Miss Match enjoying a cup of hot cocoa in a cozy cottage. I wanted to add something special to this image so I wrote a special Evil Inc version of "The Night Before Christmas."
I had so much fun doing that I then wrote an Evil Inc After Dark version! Both appear in the image gallery! The SFW version is below and the NSFW version can be found as a .txt file in the attachments. (I run into fewer problems with automatic language sensors that way!)
’Twas the night before Christmas, and on Evil Inc's floor, not a villain was scheming. The place was a snore. The henchfolk were nestled in cubicles all snug, While Muskiday tinkered with his latest drug.
The boardroom was quiet, the monitors dim, Even Desdemona’s laughter had grown rather slim. With Cassie at home, sipping holiday punch, no plots were afoot—just a late work-night crunch.
When out on the rooftop there arose such a clatter, Lightning Lady dashed out to see what was the matter. She zipped up in a flash, through the stormy night air, To find Cap’n Heroic tangled in a reindeer snare.
“What are you doing?” she snapped, oh-so icy. “I’m saving Christmas!” he said, rather dicey. “Santa’s sleigh lost a turbine—he’s in quite a fix! And I thought you villains could pull some of your tricks!”
The staff gathered 'round, from sinister to sweet, for a moment the Captain thought he was beat. “Fix Santa’s sleigh?” they all laughed, disbelieving But the thought of no presents? That brought on some grieving.
“Fine,” growled Catnip, “but don’t get it twisted. We’ll save Christmas tonight, if we're not Naughty Listed.” Desdemona chimed in, her smile sly and knowing, “And perhaps Santa’ll repay us with gadgets worth showing.”
So Muskiday welded and tinkered and drilled, Lightning Lady charged the sleigh 'til it trilled. ’Dragon and Surgat tied down the gear, and Jeremy scrambled to coax them with beer.
Soon the sleigh was aloft, with Santa’s thanks hearty, “To villains I owe this miraculous party!” He gave them a wink and a nod of pure glee, Then he soared through the sky, shouting, “Thanks… legally!”
The scoundrels all grinned as they watched him take flight, they shared a rare moment of doing what’s right. Miss Match raised her glass and said with delight, “To scheming tomorrow… but for now, a good night!”
