Hi everyone! I'm updating our Patreon's tiers to the following:
$4 patrons will now only receive paid versions of the game and important status updates. Imagining us having multiple games released, $4 is a steal for Queen's Brothel, Barely Working and any future games. The value for you guys is very high. Some people may only pay for one month and some might stay around for a while. Either way, whoever pays $4 will be able to download all of our games.
Important status updates will be things like release information, major game changes and major development choices that everyone needs to know.
The $10 tier will be the new standard for behind-the-scenes content. I want to provide more content for the people who support our vision. I'll be giving out ideas, plans, sketches, things that worked, things that didn't work. If you are interested in seeing content before it goes live, this is the tier for you.
Below is a blog post you can expect to see with the $10 tier.
Hi everyone! This month we have been working on hiring new artists and writers for Barely Working. We have started development on a "late night" or "all-nighter" outfit for the report level. In this level, Candace would be working overnight with her colleagues to make sure packages are being shipping in time for the holidays.
Our lead artist, Zen, recognized that we would be able to add effects to the background to make this level feel as if Candace was working at night. He also figured out that he would not require the new artists to need to do the effects by themselves, they only need to draw the outfit on the original picture and we can add the effects afterwards. This is great because the new artists don't have to worry about anything, they just draw the outfit and move on.

For this level, we are teaching others how to draw outfits. We are also teaching one of our writers how to write funny Barely Working events. I have been creating writing guidelines for Barely Working because this game is not just about sex, we can't have random horny guys visit Candace, the theme of each level matters.
The 4th level for Barely Working is going to be a cafeteria level where Candace is going to make sandwiches for her colleagues. Imagine a full blown restaurant inside the office. In this level, the player will be getting colleagues orders and creating sandwiches that the colleague wanted. Art wise, we're trying to figure out the best colors for this level. Here is one example:
BiteBox thought of a cool way to create the art for this level. Candace is going either be taking orders or cooking. We can use just one camera angle to satisfy both conditions. The front will be the tables and the back will be the kitchen. Guys may be having sex with her no matter where she is, but with this camera angle we will be able to see it all without having to move. Similar to the first level.
Queen's Brothel has one quest left before it is considered complete and out of early access. We think it will take a month. I don't want anyone working during the holidays so maybe the middle of January?
The last quest will involve magic that causes the girls to become cloned. Their cloned counter-parts have the exact opposite personality as them, but they were cloned with one thing in common... sex. The writing outline for this quest is complete, but we are yet to work on the images. Not quite sure how different we should make the clones look because they are going to be similar enough for the residents of Easthollow to mistake them for their real versions.
Right now, I'm trying to figure out what kind of sex scenes would be the most fun to look at. The girls having sex with their clones? The girls and their clones double teaming a guy? I'm not sure, everything sounds great.
I teased 3D game development, but then had to shift back over to Barely Working. I would still like to work on a 3D game and am trying to figure out the best gameplay for it. I'm starting to fall apart when creating a real-time action game. I might try a turn-based prototype next.
I'm also starting to think that I should try to make a 3D game with simple gameplay, but focus more on the writing instead. Maybe try to create a fun story with great looking models and great animations. Maybe something as simple as that could out-perform other games because we're going for a great stylized model approach rather than the millions of 3D DaZ games. I'm not sure, but I know one thing for certain, we're gonna make a 3D game! And who knows! Maybe I'm gonna make Dark Souls, but with Suki! But I digress... 🤭
Thanks for reading! Future blog posts like this will be given only to $10 patrons. If you are interested, please consider supporting. Cheers!
