In this painting, I found a new, interesting method. Usually, I fill the color under lineart, or I do lineart after establishing the lighting, and then I move to the rendering stage. Unfortunately, I cannot record the early rough sketch because I was using my old portable PC and it's too weak to record. Okay, so I continue working on it on my main PC. September 2024 Reward

Hey, everyone

It's a little bit early post for this month's reward.I really enjoy drawing in summer-themed stuff. I love designing bikinis and other props like cocktails, accessories, etc.Just like last month, I'm using a more detailed approach to the light scenario. You can play with those lights in the PSD file. Using layer opacity represents the light's power.Here are some of the bikini girls.

I have 3 artworks for this month.

This Alex Kidnapped artwork was my masterpiece. It is kinda complicated because I have a lot of feedback as well when creating this piece.

The other two are more simple. I call this SuperSummer. There I made a simple approach to create beautiful lighting in a simple scene.

JUNE 2024 Illustration

Blue and Yellow are famous complementary colors in the Chromatic wheel.

I tried to use that formula in my illustration here.

I'm using a one-point perspective as well but with a distorted lens.

Capturing the subject in the shadow area was tricky. I decided to did that because it can create a more readable silhouette more naturally and give us a more cinematic feels.

Hey, everyone

It seems summer already calling. This month's illustration is about a famous furniture store.

I'm using a simple color key in the artwork. In my mind, I just think that a white blank background can be converted to a real material color for things. The sofa here is cool white and the characters are in a warm color. That's how I crafted the contrast here.

I also draw another illustration too, testing my new workflow yeaaaa.

I'm using a simple color key in the artwork. In my mind, I just think that a white blank background can be converted to a real material color for things. The sofa here is cool white and the characters are in a warm color. That's how I crafted the contrast here.

NightCLub - Colored Sketch

I'm having so much fun in this sketch style. Even though it looks kinda crowded there, actually the sketch is quite simple. I'm using a new software called Drawpile for this piece. Because of a lot of limitations there, it forced me to think more efficiently. "Just Draw the Shape not Outlines!" my mind told me that.

I have 1 background layer and 1 other layer for the girls. I leave the lighting on HardLight layer above. That's the key.

BrushWork experiment

Cute girl? of course. SFW art? why not?

In these two artworks, I used custom brushes that feel like traditional brushes. I mead the real brush on paper.

I keep learning about art and it is getting more and more fun, using gouache and markers especially. I found out that an artwork that has a signature brush stroke can attract my attention more. I kinda more enjoy those things now.
