Barley Working Level 1 Comparisons & Status Update
Added 2024-09-27 01:39:46 +0000 UTCHi everyone! Back in July we showed off the new pictures for the first level of Barely Working. There was a lot of feedback and we're back to show off our changes.
Here were the main concerns:
Candace's body was too curvy and thick
Candace's facial expression was too flirty
The man's facial expression seemed cynical
Candace is supposed to be a normal girl working in an office, but she lets people fuck her. She can't look super slutty
We went back and changed every single picture.
We aren't trying to make Candace very skinny. I like the way our new artist draws, even if it's a little thicc. I think it's okay to give her some of that stereotypical sex appeal, big butt and big boobs. Some people will enjoy it and some people won't. In the end, we're still making a great game with fun gameplay that people will enjoy.
I'm hoping everyone is okay with our alterations. We're targeting facial expressions and bit of the body. I hope this is enough to bring back the same vibe as the original pictures.
Take a look at the new colors for the first level. Zen did an amazing job and I like how everything looks. The old artwork was very simple on purpose because I was targeting compression and smallest file sizes possible, but now that I know this game is so popular I don't mind splurging on nice colors and shading.
Safety First!
Candace is going back into the warehouse, but this time she's bringing her safety gear! Last time she was unprepared, but this time she's ready to help!
The second outfit for the warehouse level will be this safety strap. It might be revealing, but it is safe! The warehouse employees are participating as well, with their condoms. Surprisingly, there have been way more accidents in the warehouse since Candace joined, but the managers aren't going to tell her to leave.
And of course, I'm sorry, no ETAs for anything. This game is hard to make, honestly, we just have to keep going at our own pace and we'll finish soon. Thank you for the patience!

So, I read the phrase "too curvy and thick" and I'm afraid I don't understand the concept. Seriously though, I like both versions. Might be cool to have an unlockable 'legacy' skin for some levels?

2024-10-03 01:01:43 +0000 UTCI'm glad the warehouse workers are OSHA compliant with their employer-provided safety equipment but has the company considered the environmental impact of disposing of so many used condoms and their contents? I would suggest the company be proactive and make sure the contents be emptied out before disposal (straight into Candace). Think green, save the environment.

She can't look super slutty: well yes, a normal girl working in an office, but it's still a porn game? Don't we all love slutty girls in porn games, who dress super sluttily? I would suggest to maybe offer both versions, one where she's more flirtier and one where she's less flirty. Or maybe let her facial expression change during the level, so that she "gets used to it" and provokes the men? To me, the smile looked more like self-confidence, she knows that she can get it if she wants to (and she does so). That shall be my input so far :) again, tysm for putting all this work into the game, I and many others truly appreciate it! Also, one suggestion: maybe make another level with a bathroom break? Maybe like a gloryhole-type of level, where she has to suck and fuck several dudes who come in?

Likewise, if she wasn’t a complete slut who liked being slutty, she wouldn’t let, (and even encourage), everyone to bone her. And for how she dresses, sure, she has to look normal enough as cover for the environment; but that doesn’t mean she can’t toe the line where professional, hot, and slutty all meet with her clothing. Anyway, great game and looking forward to the next update!
