Excuse my derail. I don't think I'm in a good position to continue changing Queen's Brothel's gameplay mechanics. I have canceled my brothel management plans and will be continuing Queen's Brothel with its biggest strength in mind, the story.
I have accepted some major points with Queen's Brothel, especially being a small indie developer:
The current battle system is also good enough to be considered the gameplay mechanic. We can refine it over time and add new boss battles and stuff.
Going forward
Queen's Brothel will be my outlet for writing stories. Barely Working and future games will be my outlet for creating gameplay.
Queen's Brothel requires a lot of time to fill. Stories stories stories. And it's fun! All the girls are cool and I want to put them in funny little situations. But, this shouldn't take time away from creating more games. Small fun games, in quantity, will help push us forward.
The game studio / company
I think the adult game community is still lacking fun and complete games, and I started Queen's Brothel with this same mentality 5 years ago. With Steam's acceptance of adult games, I'd like to push the adult game meta forward with short, high-quality, complete games.
Consider my ideas to be ambitious, but I'd like to run a game studio that creates "must play" adult games. Games that don't feel like unfinished cash grabs. Games that aren't just visual novels. Games that push the adult game standard.
I'm looking forward to finishing Queen's Brothel and working on more games.
