Ok, y'all, I think I've sorted it. Apparently, our Vimeo just stopped linking to our Patreon, so all of the Vimeo-hosted B-Rolls disappeared! I'm so sorry! It's going to take me a minute to sort through and fix those, but in the meantime, I just want to make sure it's the same issue across the board. If you have a second, can you post the B-Roll titles you can't see, or just agree with someone else's post that it's the same for you?
2026-01-23 18:28:28 +0000 UTC View PostWe recorded this right before New Year's Eve, and then I ambitiously thought I could quickly edit and release it as a fun turn-of-the-year treat. I set it to render, checked the time, and realized it was over ten hours. Releasing an episode that long felt insane—much like this film! So, my solution is to give you this goodness in many maniacal parts, true to form. While I can't push any physical buttons, I sure can push emotional ones... Do Lucy and Kevin get together? Do Cindy and Jack sta...
2026-01-06 04:58:15 +0000 UTC View PostHi everyone!
We're trying something new with the Patreon Preview Drops for each episode. As we always say, the donating members here keep our lights on and keep us going, and we don't take that lightly, especially right now. These preview drops are another way to thank you for your support.
However, it's come to my (Joz's) attention that the regular drops, which were supposed to follow shortly after the paid Patreon drops, aren't happening, so I'm looking into that to fix it as soo...

It's another Patreon preview from us at Reroll to you! Thank you, we love you, and we hope this brings light to this season, whether you need it or it helps you have a little extra to give to someone who does.

2025-12-27 02:00:38 +0000 UTC View PostAnother episode sneak peek before the wider release, because, of course, trick-or-treat can thread into the depths of scary November!
I did not intend for this to continue expanding as it has. Just ask Paulo—I've been the one vocally pushing us to pump out shorter campaigns, but, just as life gets in the way of a regular release schedule (as it did this month), player choices brilliantly ferk up the best laid plans. No complaints here; I live for derailments.

We thought it would be fun to do another Patreon-exclusive special like "Twister," and what better night to treat you to this trick than Halloween!
Enjoy this silly, spooky ride, and if you decide to venture out tonight with all of the ghosts and goblins, please remember to stay safe, look out for each other, and give children the right of way, unless they're of the corn... then run.
We have an action-packed Halloween celebration over the next three days, so before we drop this episode for everybody, we wanted to extend it to you!
From Joz:
It felt so good to revisit this one, and it went in a direction I never would have expected! Sometimes the best choice is to present the challenge to your artists and see what they come up with, and I love it.
Fair warning, though: we are SO far off-script!
Get excited for tomorrow's special B-Roll drop!
Sorry for the long gap, folks. Sometimes life gets in the way. This show has been going for something like ten years now. And I want to keep doing it forever. But it is a time-consuming project, and I much prefer putting out an episode I love when we have one, then just getting something up every two weeks. I can be tough on myself when I don't deliver on any project on time, but I also need to have patience with myself, and just be honest that this show takes a bit more time and energy to ma...
2025-10-01 04:12:14 +0000 UTC View PostThe results are in, and your top three choices are:
Kara - "Superman" (starring Christopher Reeve and directed by Richard Donner) as a "John Wick" approach
Kara - "LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring" played as a “One Roll to Rule Them All” setup
Carolyn - "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" true to Reroll and GURPS form, honoring Carolyn's vast knowledge and love of the series
and the winner is...
Kara's "Superman" John Wick-style!!
You can't run away while practicing ...
Come on, then,... Lennard...?

Well! Patreon tried to keep me down, but I persevered! Here it be, though it be not a live drop, for which I am so sorry!
Because Paulo couldn't make it to the recording last minute, I tossed Carolyn and Kara to the wolves... and I think the effect was quite nice, actually. Good luck deciding on which of these harebrained schemes you want them to run for you!
Ranked poll coming shortly.
Hey y'all! Paulo was not able to join us for the B-Roll tonight, so I pulled a fast one on two of our unsuspecting players and did a Battle Royale... I'm excited to drop it tonight at 11 pm EST as a live drop for paid subscribers, so you can all collectively laugh at their faces as much as I did when I made the big reveal!
A Further Update: Patreon is moving really slowly tonight and it's not letting me publish the vid. It may not be a live drop, but rest assured, I'm working to ...

Another dose of James Bond madness is here. First and foremost, per your requests, I've attached my players' three different sketches of Margaret from part 1. Andy's is the femmebot. Kara's is the alligator monster. Carolyn's is the tree. They sketched these while not missing a beat on the high speed hijinks improv comedy.
This is apropos of nothing, but as a personal anecdote, I want to relay how much of improv is really practice makes perfect. When I started the reroll all these many...
2025-07-31 15:52:48 +0000 UTC View PostSo many of you have asked about character sheets, or are posting in our related channels about character creation questions, that I just wanted to take you through the process of how Paulo creates a playable character (with a brief foray into an NPC approach, too)! There's also vital lingo that will help you understand more of what we are rolling for in the Reroll as we play, if you aren't one of those "in the (GURPS) know!"
The program we are talking about is called GURPS ...
We have a winner, and it's...
Lisa, in the woods, with a bunch of candlesticks! (No wait, we already did Clue...)
Seriously, though, Lisa's concept of Blair Witch using the 10 Candles System and a spoken rules universe was the clear champ!
2nd Place: Andy - "Airplane" with a "you laugh, you take damage/disadvantages/generally problematic additions" mechanic
3rd Place: Andy - "Castaway" with inanimate object NPCs to become playable characters
Thanks for voting, and we'...
For those who haven't heard it, Twister is a very early episode we recorded that kind of got shuffled out of the release schedule, and by the time we got around to it I felt it wasn't quite up to our standard, and didn't end up putting it out. Some years later we remembered it existed and decided to put it out as a patreon exclusive.
Some of you have pointed out that the link was no longer working, and so we've fixed that and are re-sharing it with you all:

This was a truly last second episode. To peal back the curtain, we realized weeks ago that there was just no time that we could get the whole Cabin in the Woods cast together at the same time and that we were going to need to record something else to interrupt it. Andy came in with a fun premise and we'd scheduled a recording and at the very last second someone booked a gig and had to pull out. Now we were left with no recording date and it was just six days before the end of the month with n...

2025-06-29 18:55:52 +0000 UTC View PostCabin in the woods is a really fascinating sort of reverse reroll. I so often put secrets in my worlds. Sometimes they're just fun elaborations, not clearly relevant to the main story but a way to fill out the world with wonder and detail. But sometimes they're fundamental and important to the story; my interpretation of what's really going on in the actual movie just out of view but there for my players to discover if they pull the right levers. And in most rerolls they don't really find any...
2025-06-01 06:59:11 +0000 UTC View PostSo as you might have noticed, we did not manage to get two episodes in this month as I had hoped. Apologies. We are working towards that goal, but between actors with opposite schedules, and me and Joz (who produce and edit this thing) being very booked, it has been a challenge to up the release tempo. Just please know that we're working towards that goal. For now, I hope that one episode a month and the B-Rolls will suffice.
Gosh I've been excited to get to this movie. The concept of m...

2025-03-31 22:41:54 +0000 UTC View PostTime Bandits has really become a delight for me over time. The movie is so open-ended and we're so far off the path of the movie that I really can just have fun and world-build and let my players explore. But the other thing that I'm enjoying about Time Bandits is that it's gimmick of coming and going whenever it pleases makes it less likely to overstay its welcome. It really takes away the pressure of trying to drive towards an ending and lets me just follow the impulses of our party and do ...

17. Jon. 300. Abstracted combat mechanic. Bonuses for combat descriptions.
I'm guessing that everyone had the same instinct we did. 300 is too crunchy to make a great reroll. I think even with Jon's mechanic the game would bog down a bit into the details and logistics of combat. This would be a fun one to do at home, but probably not ideal for radi...

2025-03-04 21:28:38 +0000 UTC View PostA strange thing happens at the ending of an RPG story. To some degree the whole beginning and middle can serve as set dressing, or as a stage for improv, or as a platform to build gameplay or narrative structures. But an ending is different. At a certain point you have to decide what the story was about. Sure an ending can just be the place where you finally grow tired and put away your toys. But more often than not for an improvised story, the ending is the place where the story finds its na...
