Hey everyone! I talked about this a little bit yesterday on here, but now I can finally announce publicly the BIG PROJECT that I have been working on for the past 2 years!
I am creating an app call Shout Around.
For the past decade, I have been attending A LOT OF anime, gaming, and cosplay conventions. It started out as a fun weekend at a small event, and then became a hobby, and now it is definitely part of my life. I think I got very lucky, throughout the years, I have made a lot of friends, and we have created a lot of awesome memories. We also have done a lot of things outside of conventions, I have traveled around the world with them, I have attended their weddings, late night hangouts, and many other crazy adventures. This convention lifestyle gave me a lot of unforgettable experience that helped me in my cosplay photography and shaped me into the person that I am now. I would not be who I am without these amazing people in my life. And I want to share that feeling with you, I really really wish people can experience the same fun that I had, and make new friends just like I did (and still do!). I was fortunate enough to meet some of the best people on this planet, and I know I was lucky, so I have been working on making an app to see what can I do to help others to have those magical experience too. I have also invited some of my friends to also share with us about their convention stories and experiences.
Please let me know what you think and I will always listen to your feedback. I want to make our community better and enjoyable for everyone, especially people that are starting now. I made a post a few months ago asking people "What keeps bringing them back to conventions?" and most of them answered it's because of the people, the friends. I want to have an app that is easier for people to create genuine friendship, and also a useful tool for people to use at the convention.
I have started a Kickstarter to get this project running, and hopefully I will able to launch this app early summer of this year. So please check it out and actively tell your friends about it. Again, feel free to ask me any question and give me ideas to make this even better!

Usually, it's not very common to pull from Twitter because both media that you upload and retweet are in the same category. There are pages in that app that allows you to share directly to Twitter, like your badges and achievement trophies for example.
2017-03-09 12:58:31 +0000 UTCI think it's brilliant, I'll have to look at it more later when my internets not giving me a hard time, but I love the idea and would definitely use it. I noticed on the website it's mentioned importing photos directly from Facebook and Instagram, would it also be possible to add twitter? or I suppose the reverse, being able to take a photo with the app and share it to social media?
