The Dad: Color
Added 2021-09-14 15:39:01 +0000 UTCAs you can see, he very nearly had a beer in his other hand, but then as soon as I tried out the hand on his sizable hip instead, it just felt more Dad-like and balanced the picture better. I'm finding that sometimes these images can look a bit too contrived if the character is doing too many different things at once. Some of the images I'm happy to make look more posed and pin-up-like, and then others I like to try and capture a feeling that we've caught the big man doing their thing in the moment.

Just been watching the video for A-Ha's song "Take on Me" on YouTube, wherein the illustrated Morten Harket draws his human girlfriend into the comic - your artwork makes me long for the power to likewise enter the worlds you create and wrap my arms around your gorgeous creations, Lokitu.
