The Boss: Color
Added 2021-06-30 14:56:41 +0000 UTCAs you can see from the sketches, this one took me a long time to get right. The Boss was actually the very first entry I drew and wrote for the Art Book, back when I was still deciding on the overall tone of it. In the end I abandoned the original sketch where he's in the office with an employee, because I decided the direction of the book should be more exaggerated, sexier, and really push the limits of what makes big men so hot. I also re-wrote his entry (the original was a little friendlier and kind of boring, in hindsight).
Also, I can't decide between the blue suit or the grey. Which do you guys prefer?

The Boss-and-employee shot looks great, too - remove the beard, and it could fairly easily slot into the Max and Roy sequence (or form the first image of a new, future story...? Ah well, I can dream. ;-)
