2025-03-09 21:19:16 +0000 UTCNot many comments on here but I get it. Horror isn’t for everyone. I thought you and Mel were soooo much fun reacting to this. I have lots of images in my head where you both freaked out and I LOVE it. I’m with you, the acting was tremendous. To me, it didn’t REALLY matter what the main character did for a living. She could have flipped burgers and it would have worked. This isn’t about a spoiled teen, it’s about a woman who has made big mistakes and is trying to reset her life but then the horror plot happens and the shit hits the fan. Mental health is a hot button issue now and I hope it stays that way. Her slip into darkness felt uncomfortably familiar to me. Life is stressful for us all and we do what we can to keep our heads in the game. People sometimes forget that everyone is going through SOMETHING. I hope we see Naomi Scott in more horror movies. This appears to have been her first and I couldn’t have been more impressed. Her, Lily-Rose Depp, Sophie Thatcher, Julia Garner, Melissa Barrera, Keke Palmer, Mia Goth, Amber Midthunder, Rain Carradine, Georgina Campbell, and my personal favorite Maika Monroe are all young driving ‘Final Girl’ forces behind this new horror renaissance and I am fully here for it. I love a kick ass woman.
