Romantic Drama Poll

Note: I messed up the poll (what else is new? 😆) with two "Body Heat" selections. I'm at work and can't edit the poll from either the app or desktop. It needs to be cancelled and restarted, but I can't do that until 9pm tonight when I get home. Let me know if you want me to restart it, or you can just ignore the second "Body Heat" votes (I won't count them).

I wasn’t going to put it on then ended up putting it twice this all at 12:30am 😆

Let me know down below please ! Or I’ll decide when I get home

Xx

I might have caused some confusion! I was specifically looking for dramas, not rom-coms. Except for Moulin Rouge! and Roman Holiday, I only included movies with 'Drama' or 'Romance' listed as genres on IMDb or Google. Because I want to watch the 2 winners in this poll if it had a long run time I didn't choose it along with if I had seen it. (So you get a sense of how I chose these. Since I haven’t seen these films yet, I did my best to narrow them down within the genre. Please go easy on me—I’m trying! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We can do another Rom-Com poll soon!

Approval style!

And the poll did indeed end in a tie! Fantastic!

An Officer and a Gentleman (1982) (I have nostalgia for) and Roman Holiday (1953) (one of my favorite black/white movies) are tied. I could alter my vote in an effort to break the tie but not going to.

Notorious is great, but "Romantic Drama"? I guess it depends on how you squint your eyes. "The Lady Vanishes" - also an incredibly fun Hitchcock film - could be regarded as that as well, even though that isn't the main point. I am voting for "Officer..." but wouldn't hate if Notorious (or The Lady Vanishes, 1938) got in there. (I have not seen any of these other movies, so they might be WAY more appropriately branded "Romantic Drama." (When I think of that genre I think of Downton Abbey, which I LOVE. But I may just not "get it." Sometimes I think I am kind of dumb about this movie stuff. Actually, I'm quite certain. LOL. (BTW: that was a nervous "LOL", like a "I really DO sound stupid, don't I?" kind of "LOL." LOL. [That last one was real.] )
