2024-09-02 23:10:03 +0000 UTCMight I highly recommend Singin in the Rain with the iconic Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds and Donald O'Conner. This film is AFI's highest rated musical and a great introduction to the myriad of musicals produced during MGM studios Golden era. Many of the greatest musicals ever made came from this time from the early 40s to the late 50s all made by MGM. There is a film titled, "That's Entertainment released in 1974 showcasing a lot of the stars from those musicals paying homage to these films. Not only highly informational, it's also very fun to watch.
