September Story Poll Results

Whew! This one was a bit of a nail biter! Still, I've got it all added up and the weighted votes tallied, so let's take a look!

Why Was There No Truck?!: 88.5 + 30% Boost = 115.05

A Very Confused Pokémon Adventure: 101.83

My Hero Automata: 92.3: 71 + 30% Boost = 92.3

Mass Effect: Eridium Dreams: 54.33 + 50% Boost = 81.495

Harry Potter: Pandora's Box: 80.33

This poll is extremely instructive on how much the vote weighing and splitting actually matters. Pandora's Box actually had the most individuals voting for it, but ended up at the bottom of the totem poll since most of it's votes were regular tier votes. Meanwhile, Why Was There No Truck?! and My Hero Automata had the same number of apparent votes, but a lot more people that voted for My Hero Automata split their votes. Meaning that, despite having the exact same level of boost, they got very different results.

Of course, pure popularity very clearly matters :-p. A Very Confused Pokemon Adventure got darn close to pulling off a win despite being one of the two fics with no boost at all in this poll. Which is doubly impressive, given that it's also one of the current fics with no actual lewds in it yet! I might have to take my teasing comments about your combined battle cry being 'For the Horny' if you keep it up ;-).

Still, despite the fact that this was a much tighter race than expected, the winner is clear. Why Was There No Truck?! takes it's first ever victory lap in the polls, and will get an update in September!

Don't lose hope, Pandora's Box fans, as it will begin getting it's own +30% Boost as of next month. Likewise, the boosts for My Hero Automata and Eridium Dreams will edge upwards for fans of those fics. As for Pokemon Adventure fans...you guys and gals have enough voting power you might topple the others without a boost! It will be interesting to see how next month goes!
