Results of the Suprise Extra Poll

With that reminder taken care of, I actually closed out the Extra Suprise Poll a couple of days ago. The poll had seen almost 50% of all Patrons turning out to vote, which is extremely good for any one poll. Since it wasn't really seeing any new votes coming in either, I decided it was time to close it down. I waited to say anything since the release of the most recent My Hero Automata chapter set was put out at the same time and I didn't want to trip over that. Now that said release has been out for a couple of days, though, it's time to address the results of the Extra Poll.
For those that didn't catch it, or forgot what it was about already, the poll was regarding the possibility of adding monthly smut side-stories. I wanted feedback on the possibility since, well, smut is always/often a draw for fanfiction and I don't actually pack a ton of it into the current stories. I wanted to know if you lot wanted more of it, even at the potential cost of slightly slower major updates, or if people were content with things as they currently are.
The results were mixed, with 36% of people not caring either way. But the larger chunk did come down on the side of preferring I not risk slowing the major updates to get some smut side-stories in. It wasn't a huge margin, 28% to 23%, but combined with the 36% that didn't care either way It comes out to almost two thirds of everyone being more or less happy with how things currently work.
Combining this with the fact that the multi-pairings of the various stories eventually coming to fruition will result in eventual spikes of more lemons anyway, I've ultimately decided to just leave things be. It seems that my current pattern is one that the majority of people like, and with the inevitable uptick of lemons coming anyway, I think the best thing to do is keep on as I have been. I may still create a few side-stories here and there, if I end up with some free writing time. But I won't be making it part of the regularly scheduled programming, as it were.
Thanks for participating in the poll everyone! This sort of feedback helps me a lot in making sure I'm steering a course that people are happy with. Short of a massive surge of supporters allowing me to quit my other jobs and write full time, making the best possible use of what time I do have is important to making sure everyone enjoys the ride :-p!
