Another member of The Mighty Nein
Added 2019-09-09 16:14:32 +0000 UTCYesterday I went to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival and couldn’t resist cosplaying! Nowadays events like this are my ‘conventions‘ while I adjust, since traveling alone like I used to is still overwhelming.
As ige exprrssed heforr im in love with Critical Role — my favorite character is Caleb, so I went thrifting and found this $10 long brown coat, some boots and a skirt, and paired it with a cheap Anazon corset and shirt, and found my Aloy wig! The real challenge was making Frumpkin— I’d never made a plush before, let alone a portable ‘realistic’ one, so my week was interesting! Despite Frumpkin being canonically a Bengal Cat, I modeled mine after my own Maine Coon, Sokka. He DID NOT appreciate me taking measurements of him to create the pattern. 😂😂 I’ll do a write-up of how I made Frumpkin (and what I’d do differently next time) this week!
I soent most of the ren fest drinking mead and enjoying the live shows so I didn’t take as many pictures as I wouldve hoped, but it was a much needed fun time!
