2024-05-12 16:37:44 +0000 UTCWatched the reaction. Haven't seen the entire movie yet. Need to do that soon now. It's sad that movies like this probably don't get made today. I bet it was really profound to see the prejudices of the characters laid bare in 1957. I keep thinking that this movie needs one more scene at the end...that reveals Henry Fonda's character has an evil motive, the kid was really guilty, and he helped him get away with it. Maybe just a shot of the kid walking out of the courthouse and getting in a car with a quick pan to Fonda in the driver seat. Fade to black.
