Wow! My brother went to Normandy and said he was touched. I was just in Europe wanted to go but I couldn’t make it. Thanks for this

I just completed the National World War II Museum Band of Brothers, England to the Eagles Nest tour which follows Easy Company though England, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Austria. What a great tour, the battlefield guides were phenomenal in their knowledge, and one of the actors accompanied the tour. If you are into World War II history and Easy Company of the 506th PIR, 101st Airborne, I highly recommend it. https://www.nationalww2museum.org/events-programs/educational-travel/easy-company-england-eagles-nest/april-28-2024

In the book I remember they refer to Winters as a man framed in Christ's shadow and they talk at length about how loved he was by his men. It was some lovely turn of phrase like that - if anyone remembers the specific quote.
