HOPE ON THE STREET Docuseries Episode 3 Reaction

so i watched this show called 'street women fighting' in 2022 cause RM put it in his story on insta and in this show a set list of very famous dance crews battle with each other and it was so cool to see the dance styles in korea and how they view it and the way how idol dancers are looked upon by the dance crews it gave me a lot of insight into some very different dance genres

What a treat! I love that he went back to his roots in dancing and that he is reconnecting. I remember that he invited Neuron to his listening party when Jack in the box came out. He has wonderful mentors. You could see the joy they had dancing together. I also love the fact that he still has the pink flamingo in his studio that V gave him on one of their trips. I think it was Malta. Thank you both! 💜🙏🏾🫰🏽🫶🏽🎼

Hi Familia! Just done watching ep 3 so here I ammmmm hahaha. STILL LIFE IS HEREEEE HAHAH, I'm guessing Yoongi's People Pt. 2 will be in Paris, so exciteddddd Question of the day: What is your favorite J-Hope performance of all time? - TBH I'm loving this docuseries so muchhhh! I didn't know I would love to check out different types of genre specially with one of my favorite boy/man dancing to it 😊😉 so every performance is soooooo amazing! That Still Life choreo is 🫶 - I hope Namjoon also dances to it (it's okay to dream, right?) hahaha - As for the performance, I love every Jhope Performance but I'll have to say MAMA 2022 and Hobipalooza haha. He killed those performances, one of the BEST ❤️‍🔥🌻☀️ - I also love Hobi's MAMA solo from Wings Album and the Intro for Wings: Boy Meets Evil.

This whole episode was amazing but u have to say my fav part were when all three danced to Rappers Delight by Sugarhill gang. Such an iconic song that is one of the staples of hip hop in general and it made me all giddy with pride watching them perform to it 💜💜

Ok, I totally smiled for the entire episode and I'm enjoying this documentary a lot more than I thought I would. I mean, I already knew I was going to like it, but every detail is just amazing. The special effects, the chemistry between Hobi and his mentors, not to mention that the dances for Still life and Lock/unlock were perfect! Btw it still amazes me that our sunshine created an album for this documentary and that each episode shows a song and a dance to that song. That's genius!

I just went and double checked yes you're right!! it was in Paris!! I low-key got goosebumps rewatching that clip

oouu i'm excited about that cause he said he did the people pt.2 choreo in paris right?

I have to say, hobi's ability to communicate his gratitude and emotions face to face is so admirable and impressive. It could be because I'm an introvert, but imagining myself in front of two people I respect and voicing out (VERY ELOQUENTLY might I add) how much they've done for me in my life...I feel like I'd be very timid and a stuttering mess the whole time. That entire scene at the dinner table between hobi, haknam, and Woong was so sweet. "Our Hoseok grew up well" 😭😭💜 YES HE DID. the choreo to lock/unlock + the animation THAT WAS A 10/10. That so visually appealing in more ways than one. these editors/animators are so cool someone give them a raise. qotd: it has to be hobipalooza. and also I love his Just Dance performances during love yourself era and the hobi/jimin boy meets evil and lie performance during mama 2016...

bro every episode keeps getting better and better. now I think THIS is my favorite episode and we're only on the 3rd one wtf- I can't believe we got hobi and haknam dancing to Still Life ARE U KIDDING ME THAT WAS AWESOME!! They are such a epic duo. Man, the student/teacher dynamic is so wholesome. I remember hobi mentioning he made this to yoongi in suchwita along with people pt.2 (omg I wonder if they'll show that in the upcoming episodes).

I'm not a dancer but I'm a musician and playing an instrument requires a lot of training and so much consistent practice that, sometimes if I don't play for even a couple of weeks, I feel rusty, I lose things, and my skills suffer. j-hope has been primarily dancing idol choreographies for over a decade with little spare time to keep up with all of these technical street styles he learned as a kid. I think it's a testament to his talent that he's able to pick it all back up like he's been practicing it consistently the whole time. And I also think it's really humble and brave of him to put himself out there to be the student after more than a decade of being the teacher. It shows how earnest his passion for dance and for growth is. I just really admire him. Not just because he's dancing at a level perfectly fit to share a stage with life-long, dedicated, street style professionals, but because he's being vulnerable and sharing his re-learning curve with all of us. He's such a tremendous asset to the dance community (and our lives!!).

qotd: oh my god definitely hobipaloozaaaa how strange that you posted on sunday/monday but i missed you lol 💀 as the eps progress, i just have the urge to keep saying how proud i am of hobi. it’s so cool how he is exploring these different genres of dance with mentors that he used to learn from, and bringing us along in this journey which is so so special. man if i was lock woong, i’d prolly cry seeing someone i used to teach becoming his own self, having this much passion for dance, and now is a role model for millions of people and inspires them. the genuine happiness in his face is so so precious to me, i’m so happy to see him like this. i’m so glad we had more dances in this ep cause watching hobi dance is such a delight i can’t explain, it’s so satisfying. if i was ever to try these dances, i’d land in the hospital quicker than i can learn. nile rodgers looked so cool at the end 😭. also it’s so crazy that he filmed this while also practicing for mama 2022 like damn! i felt the same way that boogaloo kim felt when he watched his mama performance😭. can’t wait for the next episode tomorrow and i’m thinking it may be paris (solely cause of the french at the beginning 😭, cause for the life of me, i CANNOT differentiate genres of music 💀 except the mostttt obvious ones, even those i struggle with) and also excited to see yunjin’s participation! see ya tomorrow familia, AT LIVE sbsksksha
