We are so excited to be watching Jimin’s full creative process for his very first solo album FACE. Jimin shared it all with us, starting back in May 2022.
He shared the introduction to the beat, the creation of the melodies, and his challenging moments of expressing himself in the lyrics. We even got a snippet of his celebration of hitting #1 on the Billboard Hot 100!! 🙌
We’re grateful for this documentary, it brought us new perspectives on FACE, and the whole process was really inspiring to see. 👏🥺

2023-10-28 00:27:27 +0000 UTCJust FYI, you wrote the same word twice on accident. In the second one, the pronunciation is right, but the Hangeul should be spelled 맛있다. I think you accidentally typed an ㅓ instead of ㅏ. Just so you know. Also, 맛있다 is "to be delicious, since 맛 means "flavor:, to "to have flavor/to be delicious". You're thinking of 마시다 (mah-shee-da), t=which is "to drink". They all sound super similar, so it's easy to get them mixed up. 멋있다 (meo-shi-dda) - "to be cool" 맛있다 (mah-shi-dda) - "to be delicious" 마시다 (mah-shee-da) - "to drink"

2023-10-26 19:28:43 +0000 UTCWhat you probably heard was 멋있다 (meos-issda) which means "to be cool"; it sounds similar to 마시다 (masida) - "to drink". As a beginner to learning Korean, I sometimes got those two mixed up 😅 (Also someone correct me if I'm wrong, 감사합니다!💜)

He was so involved with this album and this documentary only proves it more. I love how Jimin playfully threw in ideas or melodies and Pdogg automatically liked it or wanted him to record it. Jimin has always had a strength in making melodies in the past (Blood Sweat & Tears for ex)... this was so fun to witness 😭 Uthman that rap verse you heard at the beginning DID make it in the album lol, Listen to Face-Off again, its included in there. QOTD: Like Crazy 100%.

2023-10-26 09:26:52 +0000 UTCYes I did. Like I’ll never forget how I felt when waiting for the chart to drop to witness history and then how I felt after seeing him #1. Like a Korean song with no feature and no radio support, just Jimin and army, got the song to hit #1 on billboard HOT 100. It will forever be historic!! I honestly bawled my eyes out towards the end. I admire, respect and love this man. He worked so hard(like always), so much effort and sincerity went into this album. He poured his entire heart, soul, and being and that's another reason why it's such a masterpiece. Everything about the process was so raw & beautiful. He’s an artist that truly deserves all the recognition, love, and success, proud is an understatement😭💜

I watched it a little but since I couldn't understand what he was saying, I decided to just go back to it when there's subtitle. The video isn't available yet but I think they're just working on the subs and it will be there. Would love to watch it with you. He looks so beautiful now with his new hair! It's probably just to prep it up for another color but right now, orange has never looked that good on anyone but Jimin!

My pride for the members gets bigger everyday but especially during these documentaries when we see their level of ambitiousness and hard work. I felt it during hobis documentary. I felt it with yoongi's and now jimins🥺💜 also also namjoon is the best leader in the fuckign world and I’m so grateful he’s a member and leader of bts. But most importantly a great hyung and friend to Jimin. He was there with Jimin when they wrote promise. His first solo outside of the bts albums. And now he was there for Jimin during his first solo ALBUM. Counseling and giving him advice bc he knows his member so well. And jungkook with his beautiful golden vocals always ready to help as well. They’re family.

2023-10-26 02:34:53 +0000 UTCWords cannot express how proud I am of Jimin. As well as P-dogg, Evan, and Ghstloop. We see these talented men in the credits of so many bts songs and to finally meet them and get to know their personalities I grew very fond of them. I love Pdogg so much he's so funny and such a goofball. They all seem to be such a great support system for jimin and thats why I think his decision to work with internal producers was the best for him. Jimin has come so far musically. Just to think of him being brought into bts pretty last minute in comparison to the others, not being able to receive vocals lessons as a trainee and almost being cut from the group multiple times...I just think he's gone through a lot of his own battles that he doesn't share often but this man is like always laughing its crazy. His hard work was really shown in this documentary.

I knew jimin was talented but this documentary made me feel even prouder. His growth as an artist, he started in 2013 he didn’t know how to sing but look at him now. A pure talent, voice of an angel who constantly wants to improve himself. I love this man so much and wants him to be proud of himself. He had an incredible team (Pdogg, Evan and Ghstloop) that supported him through the entire process. And of course RM and JK who participated too 🥹 I love how they were constantly together and how much fun they had. You should watch the quizz + Jimin live about it 💜

She excitedly revealed that it was her voice saying, “I think we could last forever. Just trust me.” She said “Basically, I just got an email from my manager in January saying that Jimin’s label reached out and requested me for the voiceover, which is wild.” She also shared that the label told her if she had any male voiceover friends to bring them along. So she referred her friend, Joe Brogie, to do the male part. Shelby clarified that the dialogue was also original for the song rather than straight from the movie. However, they were sent an audio sample from the movie to replicate the characters’ tones.
