We are so excited to be seeing Jinny’s Kitchen’s crew come together for a new show! 🙌🎉
We really enjoyed their team chemistry in Mexico as they ran their Koran Snack Bar On this new show, they won’t be running a restaurant together instead they’re going to be playing games to help them better their communication. 😳
Apparently, someone complained about the CEOS communication … we’re still curious who the rat is lol 🤣

2 days 1 night was my favourite variety show and i fell in love with it after watching the episode where park seo-joon was a guest along with the hwarang crew. the show's concept is like this, they go on a retreat and they play games and do missions to eat food, to choose rooms.. and it's so funny!!

2023-10-19 22:33:48 +0000 UTCI’m back now that I’ve finished watching :). It was so fun! Unfortunately there is only one more ep of this familia. Looking forward to re-watching it with you though. To give you some context for this programme, God of Communication is one of Na PD’s programmes like Game Caterers where different celebrities appear with no fixed cast, (he has sooo many famous shows like 3 Meals a Day, New Journey to the West, Kang’s Kitchen, Youn’s Kitchen, etc that tends to have a fixed cast, there is even one on YouTube where they travel around New York with Lee Seo Jin, Yumi also appeared in one episode just last week) The concept for god of communication is that Na PD and his team are communication specialists that travel anywhere in the country to solve communication issues… Hence why there had to be reason for the Jinny’s Kitchen Crew to appear on it as part of the concept and for the crossover to happen… so when Yumi was guesting on one of Na PD’s YouTube channel content (he has a content called ‘Nattering with Na’ where people come and they just sit in front of the camera and talk) they talked about how Lee Seo Jin is so funny with the group chat of the Jinny’s Kitchen cast and his impatient behaviour when they don’t reply immediately (as you mentioned all of them are super busy esp Tae at this time with all his album prep etc) amongst other anecdotes, so that was the beginnings of why they appeared on this show with Yumi’s hilarious so called tip-off. The PD that came as a special guest at the beginning of the ep is Lee PD who is a legendary figure in the Korean entertainment world. He was a director of entertainment at KBS for a time and He along with Na PD and some of the staff here were part of the team for the legendary Korean variety show 1Night 2 Days which is the inspiration of sorts for this ep and referenced here hence the gift and the money etc and was incidentally the premise for the Run BTS episode set in Toronto with the sudden missions etc. The KTX in the opening theme song quiz they were talking about is a type of fast train… it’s the train Tae was taking in the ‘20’s live in Gangneung’ content on the BangtanTV channel (I highly highly recommend it, it’s so fun, creative, touching and like never seen before content from the boys.) The train in train to Busan was also a KTX. The Kanye West song that Tae was humming and getting so excited about and trying to guess… there is lots of intertextuality and Easter eggs with it. Firstly it’s the song for the intro for one of the epic dance performances in the very early days that Tae and the boys did. Second it’s the theme song for street woman fighter 2. In the captions when they were talking about it which were unfortunately not translated it mentioned the smoke dance challenge with Tae. Tae went viral in South Korea for taking part in the smoke dance challenge with Gof (his dance teacher, choreographer and part of the dance crew in his MV and performances, easier identified as the guy in the red hat and sleeve tattoo Tae dance duets with in his MV) and Bada Lee, with the latter whom is the choreographer and originator of the dance challenge and a contestant and team leader of a dance crew on street woman fighter 2. (She also appeared as a special guest as part of the crew for Tae’s performance of Slow dancing on KBS music bank.) Both also appeared in Tae’s recent weverse live (the last one on the day he did 3) where they danced on the park and did the cute version of the smoke challenge. When Seojoon was talking the translations don’t do it justice to how endearing it is either… he saying there was no need for a game with sleeping arrangements… as since a long time ago Tae always sticks to him and sleeps with him etc, the captions when Tae was smiling shyly were adorable, they were in effect saying perfect cute lovable Maknae. I won’t spoil it for you as to if Tae joins or not. I appreciate whoever subbed this as there aren’t any official subs out yet but I would defo say so much context and added humour, fun and personality gets missed out without subbing the captions. The fun of Korean variety shows are 40 to 50 percent in the captions etc… which is why I personally get so sensitive when the run BTS ones used to be wrong or different to the original etc. Sorry for this super long comment and hopefully I didn’t forget to give other context as these points were the ones I could remember wanting to mention when I was watching… oh and the reason they put Yeontan’s picture during the strawberry game was they were doing a funny pun with the type of crab Tae chose which sounds like flower dog. Lol it feels so formal and weird not gonna lie… it’s the same when people call Namjoon RM 😅… right with that I’m back to watching :)

Sounds interesting!! : ) Those two were very famous songwriter/producer-duo in 90s in Korea. They produced one of the most popular 1st gen Kpop idol (g.o.d.) and Bang PD's stage name "Hitman Bang" originated from this period. When JYP founded JYP Entertainment, Bang PD joined him as a producer. - fun fact: Once, JYP talked about this cute episode with Bang PD at a talk show : they were staying together in the U.S. to promote their girl group - Wonder Girls - but one day, they were fighting over socks / laundry. After that fight, Band PD decided not to stay in the U.S. with JYP any longer and went back to Korea by himself and started his own company (Big Hit). I am wondering they will talk about the episode again for You Quiz.. lol...
