Today we are continuing Le Sserafim's documentary with episodes 3 & 4 of 'The World is My Oyster!' 💎
In these final two episodes, we get to finally see Le Sserafim's debut! 👐 They were HYBE's first girl group to debut! (we learned that today in the documentary)
We really enjoyed this documentary. We got to learn a lot about their journey up to their debut, although we might be missing some pieces like the ones edited out from the documentary. Overall it was nice to get a good understanding of Le Sserafim and all the hardships they had to go through to become the group we know today. We wish them nothing but success in their journey together as a group. ✊
We also learned a lot about the process of becoming a trainee and it makes us really curious to know what BTS' debut stories are...🤔
Thanks to the familia who took the time to share information about all five members of Le Sserafim. Their journey was very dynamic up to debut so we appreciate you guys teaching us from a newbies perspective. 💜

i just finished rewatching this and omg their growth has been crazy. they just released a new docuseries (4eps, 25-30 mins each) also on youtube called “make it look easy”. i’ve only finished ep1 but already it feels even more stressful and heartbreaking than this first docuseries because this time they’re already more than a year in the industry and have slowly been putting their name out there which has meant more attention (both positive and negative) and we see that they see these comments and that it’s affected each member. i really hope you guys find time to fit this series in your schedule sometime in the future (maybe after i-land perhaps? hehe)

After that, as far as I know, they dropped this format of the showcase and started doing live showcases and presenting their new comebacks by communicating with the army online directly without involving other companies or with Mnet doing mcountdown shows. Prior to that, as you can see in the video intros, they collaborated with Loen and Melon. As an ARMY who has watched BTS's debut stage many times and gets blown away every time remembering the impression they made right out of the gate, Le Sserafim remind me of that. They most certainly are a HYBE group because their live performances are no joke. I love their personalities as well, they are also lovable and chaotic and fun to watch. Sakura and Yunjin were on the PSick show and were an absolute riot, Sakura was born to be a celebrity. As to songs it is hard to pick one, Impurities, Blue Flame, Antifragile....and many more.

I never thought of that before, but idols/artist who have American backgrounds must've been feel that way. Like I remember Eric Nam said he had to go to Korea to be an artist then he can perform in the US. That's wild.

I don't really stan them but like their music is just too good! the best title would be ANTI-FRAGILE and like the best b-side would be IMPURITIES and SOUR GRAPES in my opinion!!

2023-10-15 04:26:52 +0000 UTCI hope you watch I-LAND after this series.. This is HYBE's first official survival show and it's the journey to form the group ENHYPEN.. BTS made an appearance on the show as well and a lot of the trainees have BTS as their role models.. This is a longer show and includes a lot more scenes of the debut process like their practice, performances and evaluation periods so it will put you more in the perception and head space of how it must've been for BTS' trainee days as well... Mr. Son, Pdogg and Bang PD are in the show as well!!! I'm not an engene (enhypen's fandom name) and I'm just a casual listener of enhypen, they have a lot of banger songs as well, but I watched this show when it was airing and I even participated in the votings... i guess that's what these survival shows would really do to you.. you would really feel so much for the trainees and would want to help them any way you can.. I was rooting for enhypen ever since and they're doing so so well.. I even saw couple of days ago they performed their first stadium concert in the US so I'm so proud of them.. plus they are such big big BTS fans so you'll surely enjoy seeing them fanboy to BTS both in the show and even after debut hahaha... There's a lot of compilation videos of them fanboying to BTS on youtube and it's so endearing to watch. The boys are so purple blooded!! 🤭 Anyway... I hope you consider it familia!!! ☺️🤞

I watched this a while back and I started to get into them but I never became a stan, I'm more like a casual fan and listener, but I love their discography, they're one of the only groups I'm seeing in this generation really pushing a powerful message and I love that. QOTD: Yunjin, I think I actually found out about them because of her but I can't remember why oops. She has a song called “I ≠ DOLL”, which has such a needed message and I feel so many idols feel what she is saying in that song, definitely a song you should listen to. Also just for me, she loves Taylor Swift so obvs that makes me love her even more lol, she has a picture of her on her wall of Taylor's album called 'FEARLESS' which is so ironic cause their acronym is literally FEARLESS😂 but anywho, this industry is definitely very strict and hard on their trainees, and they have many ups and downs, triumphs and struggles along the way, I have no idea how I would cope if I ever entered into that line of business🥺 But anyway, very excited for what's more to come, I love seeing you guys learn more about Korea, and that Kimchi video, absolutely top notch✨

2023-10-15 02:54:30 +0000 UTCdiet in the kpop industry is very extreme and unhealthy to many extents. i've heard of many kpop idols saying they wouldn't eat for days. idk if it has gotten better now but earlier companies used to weigh the idols and if they didn't weigh a certain amount of weight they were given a deadline to lose a given amount of weight. one idol even mentioned how she drank only water and ate ice cubes for days to lose weight. idk if you remember but jimin and jin also went through a period where they put on unhealthy diets. thankfully they don't do that anymore. korean beauty standards are very extreme and rather toxic. that is why sakura brought up diet in their meeting. i think she meant that the members could control their diets themselves instead of being told what to eat, etc.

I think after that,for a while,they didn't want any girl trainees nor debut girlgroups. My bias is Sakura,i already loved her in IZ*ONE and i was so happy to see her and Chaewon debut again together

2023-10-15 02:18:32 +0000 UTCCommenting this while still watching so idk if you’ve figured it out yet but the scene where they’re at the meeting table talking about self management basically what i understood is that the first guy said that at their shoot they basically didn’t look skinny enough or ideal in weight and then the girls we’re talking about how they dont have issues with taking care of their own eating habit and sakura was saying kinda how she doesn’t want members to have to be hugely conscious of dieting and stuff like that. correct me if im wrong anyone!
