BTS plays classic Korean games that they played growing up in school.
Along with learning about the member's childhood games we also learned about some of their favorite Korean snacks!
AND we also learned that we've been playing Hopscotch wrong our whole lives lol! We'd love to play it the way BTS was playing it and share it with you guys in a video?

2021-02-11 06:41:42 +0000 UTCfamilia i think the snack they made is similar to "Coronado Paletas De Cajeta Quemada Mexican Goat Milk Candy" its a mexican candy/lollipop! i used to have it all the time as a kid in mexico! look it up on google images maybe it will spark a childhood memory haha . what they were making just looked too similar so now i cant help but think it tastes exactly like this candy

2021-02-11 06:39:53 +0000 UTC- nurungji - it's the crispy burnt rice snack you saw Tae make during In the Soop - needles are used to gently and, with precision, chip out the shape you pressed into the dalgona so you can make a pretty shaped dalgona candy - gonggi - it is similar to jacks - game that's been played for centuries in Korea - originally, the pieces were just smooth river stones - played by throwing 5 pieces, grab one, then, each round, go for one at a time, then two, then three and one, then four - on the fifth is where you pick up points, by tossing all 5 pieces in the air, catch them on the back of your hand - whatever number you manage to land on the back of your hand, you toss again and catch them with an overhand swipe - if you get them all, you gain those points

2021-02-11 06:13:19 +0000 UTC- their play on words with gold - Korean word for gold is "geum" (pronounced halfway between "gum" and "goom") - the word for now (the present) is "gee geum" and the word for salt is "so geum", so that's why they were joking saying that the promised prize of "geum" could mean anything but actual gold - dalgona - I'm sure you guys have heard of dalgona coffee that was such a huge trend this past summer - that is based on the Korean sugar candy (and yes, it's something children in Korea do all the time - making their own burnt sugar candy) - basically, just melting sugar, adding a bit of baking soda, and burning it to the right color and consistency - it's yummy, but hot as hades, and you have to eat it carefully to avoid burning the holy hell out of your mouth - after it's cooled, it's like a crispy caramel-ish brittle candy

So dalgona 달고나, or honeycomb toffee/korean spongy candy, is made out of melted sugar and baking soda, which gives it that light milky color. The flavor is basically sugar that is slightly burnt and different shapes are added before it fully hardens. It is a popular street snack and it brings back childhood memories for a lot of koreans because vendors would sell this in front of their schools. It's also called ppopgi 뽑기 like how the boys said, which refers to the game offered by vendors and part of what makes it so memorable. The game is that if you can eat around the pattern using a pin/needle/etc. while leaving the shape intact, the vendor might give you another one for free!

I honestly get shocked by all the talent this man has. I learn new things about him everyday (I learned yesterday that he can sew). I believe he could win a lot of the games they did on Run BTS, but he likes to entertain the audience, just make us laugh, and have fun. I love that about him. He’s the secret Ace.

Hobi asked him till when was he going to keep calling him Rapmon and JK said that he'll always be Rapmon to him and RM said he could call him whatever he wanted lol. 2021-02-11 01:37:50 +0000 UTCyour lives would be so much easier if you googled the games you don't know 😂 they give the rules but it really doesn't explain it if you don't know the game already. This is the basic rules of gonggi: Level 1: Throw the stones down then pick them up 1 at a time Level 2: Same thing but 2 at a time Level 3: 3 at a time (and the remaining 1) Level 4: All 4 at once Level 5: Throw the stones and catch them on the back of your hand. Then throw them up and catch them. You have to catch all the ones you throw. The amount you catch are your total points. Keep doing that until you have the total points you need to finish the game. They had to go until they had 13 points (then they lowered it because it took too long). Jimin was the best but it took a while because he couldn't catch a lot on his hands at a time.
