Familia we are not used to hearing BTS sing about girls and relationships, it's so adorable! 😆
Songs that we thought were super hard core and gritty like Boy In Luv ended up actually being a beautiful love story. This is why it's so important for us to go through the lyrics to understand the song fully because just off the visuals we were fooled! 🤣
Also we see why so many of you were excited about the track and live performance of Tomorrow, it has such a beautiful message! 💜
We can't wait to continue the album with track 6-10 plus the hidden track Miss right.
P.s. We decided to split the reaction into two parts, so in this first part, we reacted to track 1-6.

Since we aren't there yet please look up the STAGE MIX versions of Cypher 3 and Cypher 4. The editing is really cool and there are lit performance clips.

I've watched a lot of stuff though, but still have waaaayyy more to catch up on. I've watched; all RUN episodes, BON VOYAGE, IN THE SOOP, SUMMER/WINTER PACKAGES, SEASON'S GREETINGS (except the 2021) yet and i'm pretty sure I'm missing more stuff. I haven't watched their olderrrr shows yet, I'm waiting to watch with familia, and the ones they can't put out, I'll watch on my own. Damn they do be feeding us *hahha*

2021-01-18 16:31:15 +0000 UTCI feel like Boy in luv is suppose to sound aggressive cause it's about a young love that's kinda toxic and immature. If you compare it to Boy with luv, they say that love is not about the desperation for the other person or the extremely need for them. I feel like the line "love is nothing stronger, that a boy with love", compares their two songs pretty well. It's not just about love (that we learn it can't always be pure, with the tear album), but more about how we can become someone better with it. I always interpreted "boy with love" as in a person that gives and receives love, and they say that's stronger that the emotion alone (because love can "exist", the term i mean, but without someone to show it or to spread it, it has no sense or it can be fake, it can be toxic, it can blind us). Idek if it makes sense but that's MY interpretation, I can be so wrong lol. Btw, sorry for any mistakes as english is not my first language

2021-01-18 16:23:57 +0000 UTCThe reason why the lyrics from “Where are you from” sounds silly is because Suga and J-hope is using hardcore dialects&saying (Suga- daegu dialect/ J-hope Jeonlado dialect) -> it’s even hard for me to understand (I’m a Korean raised up in Seoul) For instance, “you look like salad” (Suga’s verse) would be saying only daegu (or gyeongsando province in general) would say. QOTD - for me it’s HYYH pt 1 would be my favorite. The songs of HYYH is nostalgic to me. It brings up memories of My high school years 😊 Thank you for your reaction! I think people in Seoul can only understand 80 ~90 percent of the "Where are you from". QOTD-My fav album..... hard to choose one...😂 Tear....no ...every love yourself series, HYYH...i guess

I found BTS and found this song on a dark moment when I got unemployed and so lost about what to do from then on. I remembered crying tons while listening and reading the lyrics to Tomorrow. I would really say that this song and BTS as a whole saved me from completely falling into depression.. That part on the lyrics saying "This is not a stop but just a pause in your life to take a break" really hit my heart and made me hopeful that a new bright tomorrow will really come. And this is just the tip of the iceberg familia because they have a whole lot of songs in their discography that speaks to the reality of life and will really help people to pull through mentally and emotionally, even just for a bit. And I'm really so happy you get to experience this magic that they have since the beginning, because from my own personal experience, it really truly can heal hearts and souls.. :')

They just have this magic that's always evident and present to their songs, whether it's the melody, the beat, the raps, the vocals, the message, the passion and sincerity? They just have it all for you! It's my first time really to deeply love every bit of music and content that an artist releases.. So yeah i dont know, that's just me. Hahahaha

They did that on purpose. Keep in mind that what's important to BTS is to speak in THEIR point of view. Not someone else. Consider some of them were actually teenagers, and the rest were 20 or in their early 20s at that time. You used to do love like that in those age. They just had to tell about the immature love which is people in their age usually do. (so don't get that wrong. it's not like they actually thought that way. it's more like they tried to indicate their age.) As they grow up, They talk about more serious love in HYYH pt.1. It's so fascinating thinking about how their albums actually go with themselves. Their discography is literally their lifetime. Their growth process. I think that's one of the reason why people feel BTS' music so real. One of a kind.

The girl was choosing hobi over yoongi, so that is why he was saying things like why are you choosing guys like him over me, etc. etc. The translations in the video you watched are a bit different, so it wasn't made clear. If you check doolset's translations (they're a k-ARMY translator)(https://doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/2019/04/20/where-you-from/), you'll see that it's actually talking about hobi and that they are rapping in their dialects. I found the song even cuter after finding this out. Just wanted to tell you guys this info about the song cus I noticed how much you liked it!!

But what I'm sure they were all there for the 2015 trilogy concert, no worries.

Namjoon probably didn't know it was a slur because he didn't use it in that way at all. A lot of people don't use the verb anymore because of the slur, so a lot of people don't know that it's an actual word used.

2021-01-18 04:34:45 +0000 UTCI always thought wings was my favourite album but just recently i realized that young forever (the most beautiful moment in life pt1&2) is definitely my favourite. I always seem to go back and re-listen to a lot of songs from that album. The hyyh epilogue concerts were so emotional and amazing to watch. That era was full of nostalgia and the elements of mental health, coming of age, and the struggles of youth was easily relatable. I love their lyrics the most during this time. There are so many hidden gems and i'm interested to see what you guys think. Love is not over, move, dead leaves, hold me tight, whalien 52, deserve to be praised more. :') Let's just say this entire album is a masterpiece.

The songs, the theme, the aesthetic, everything just worked so well together. It was also released when I was a senior in high school so the element of nostalgia adds another layer to the album that makes me want to cherish this album for the rest of my life.

Maybe, instead of watching music videos that you have already seen, you would love to check different versions of most popular ones? Like, No More Dream, Boy in Luv, Danger, I need you, Run, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Mic Drop have japanese versions...Some of them have just differents outfits (and japanese words, obv), but some of them have totally different mood, sets, camera work etc.

I think i would call this more of a desperate and childish love rather than romantic. they never presented it as being a good or proper way to pursue a relationship, but i think it accurately portrays the young love at school where you're a bit selfish and hormonal. i've always seen it that that was their objective with this album. it never tried to be too perfect but shows a more imperfect youth that's a bit more realistic.

Eg Butterfly, Run, I need U, Hold me tight, Autumn leaves, Love is Not over. Can’t wait for you to react to this one fully :))

Bts' discography is very beautiful and complex so it deserves to be appreciated fully. i Love all their albums but my top favorite BTS albums would be Dark & Wild, Skool Luv Affair, and Love Yourself:Tear (in that order) as you can tell i am more into Hip Hop BTS but i love all the genres they are able to cover, they can make anything sound good! 💜💜
