RM doesn't like seafood like "crabs, shrimps, and all the shellfish i think like, oysters, mussel, clams, etc. But he can eat fish and i think any kind fish as long as its not those type of seafood and shellfish.

Rodica Ogmar

If you guys want to try to make doenjang-jiggae (fermented soybean stew) yourself (it's so easy btw), you should watch Maangchi's video on Youtube. She's a Korean Youtuber who do cooking videos. Seonkyoung Longest is also my favorite cook Youtuber. She cooks a lot of Korean and Asian dishes. I've made Maangchi's doenjang-jiggae and beef bulgogi twice in these few weeks cause it's so good and easy to make :) If you want to make Korean dishes, just make sure you have gochugaru (Korean chilli flakes), Gochujang (Korean chilli paste), doenjang (fermented soybean paste), dried anchovy and dried kelp in your pantry...as these are are usually the main ingredients in a lot of Korean dishes. I tried to make some Korean dishes myself these few weeks because of BTS lol XD

missJJ

NZ gorgeous! went there when my baby was 2 years old and we toured around north & south island in a 6 bed camper van

j

Hamilton, in the North Island Fam 💜 currently residing in Perth Australia tho 🙃😂 it cost like $800-$1000 just for me to fly home tho. At this rate thanks to BTS I'm too broke to go home 😂😂😂😂

Lainee Fenton

whereabouts are you here from tho? now that we are in level 2 i'm waiting to go there too

Tommi92

Hahaha! YES! Go retire in NZ. You'll love it! It's so chill. The locals are gentle and kind. There's a lot to do and then there's also nothing if that makes sense. Just sit and enjoy nature somewhere. I hope one day you will get to go fam! 💜💜

Lainee Fenton

카리

Also, 27.01 from Part 2 . I've never seen Marisol laugh so hard before, she almost choked 😂 I laughed harder cause of her. Love the reaction as always familia 💜💜

Lainee Fenton

I'm going back to New Zealand 😍 that's my home and you bet your butt I'll be doing the Nevis swing from bv4 😂

Lainee Fenton

you’ve talked about watching a vid of their relationship with their managers and im gonna take a wild guess and say that it was a video of manager sejin 😂 since he was literally with them since the start.

Daz

sorry about the long comment above xD also, qotd: the one place I want to return to is Korea - I was born there (Seoul), lived there for the first decade of my life, and haven't been back since - I miss it terribly, but I also know it's changed a great deal since I was there, so it's a little exciting/frightening a prospect

- dakgalbi - dak (Korean for chicken), galbi (Korean for ribs) - basically, Korean bbq chicken - either marinated in a sweet soy based sauce, or a sweet and spicy gochujang (red pepper paste) sauce, then grilled - serve sliced into small bite-sized pieces, can be eaten in a ssam (lettuce leaf wrap) - this time, they grilled up the spicy marinated one - different areas of Korea are famous for different specific dishes, dakgalbi is famous in Chuncheon (which is where they're vacationing) - naengmyeon - Korean cold buckwheat noodle dish often eaten with bbq to cut through the grease and smoke of the meats - cook the noodles, then rinse them off in a cold water and ice bath to chill them immediately, which also makes them nice and chewy - put them in bowls, and serve with a chilled "broth" made of Korean pickle brine/vinegar and seasonings, a sweet and tangy gochujang sauce (similar to chojang, the gochujang sauce they dipped raw fish into) maybe some ice cubes to really make it cold and refreshing, shredded veggies, kimchi, Asian pear, and a couple halves of hard boiled egg - special note - scissors are a normal part of the Korean dining table set up - when you eat the majority of your foods with chopsticks, it is simply logical to cut everything into small enough pieces to make it more efficient to eat with them - meats, noodles, etc can tend to be too much, so scissors are a must - baseball, along with basketball, is a very popular sport in Korea, even to the point of having professional teams and league games - the rrrrrrrapmonster meme came from when there was an interview of people on the streets of Korea, asking older Koreans if they knew who BTS was, and a very funny little old man was just yelling about how of course, he knew who BTS was, and started spouting off their names - and that was how he said Namjoon's name, which, apparently, the boys saw and were charmed by, and have been imitating ever since xD - ssamjang - mix of 2 parts doenjang (Korean fermented soybean paste) to 1 part gochujang (Korean red pepper paste), and sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and rice wine vinegar (with variations based on preferences) - sweet/salty dip used when eating ssam, but can be used in various different meals - excellent sauce for veggies and meats (I mostly use it when I eat pork belly bbq - samgyeopsal) - jeotgal - chopped up bits of seafood preserved in a salty spicy brine, used as a seasoning - Koreans typically eat a lot of rice, and don't usually add a lot of salt directly to food that they're about to eat, but rather, use different methods to season what would otherwise be very bland and boring dishes - a spoonful of rice is fairly tasteless, but add a touch of jeotgal, and you get a myriad of complex flavors, as well as the sweet unique flavor of the rice itself - also makes it so when you season, you get more flavors, and less straight salt, so you use less sodium in the long run - doenjang is pronounced - dwen (rhymes with Gwen) jang (Korean "a" is pronounced ahh, like in ostrich) - Korean fermented soybean paste (similar to Japanese miso, but miso is a much more delicate flavor) - to me, it tastes a bit like a really good, funky cheese - musty in the best way, with a deep salty flavor - mostly used as a base for soups and sauces - Korean fried chicken - it is double fried, and, even when sauced, maintains crunchiness without greasiness - it is also very lightly dusted in flour, so it doesn't have a thick layer of bread on it - the most typical is plain Korean fried chicken, and yangnyeom - the fried chicken tossed in a Korean sweet and spicy sauce - different restaurants have their own sauces as well, but those two flavors are the most common, and most people order ban-ban (half and half) of those two flavors - if you remember when JK dyed half his hair in Bon Voyage, they told him he looked like ban-ban - this is what that reference meant

We are cheering you on familia!

The Mexinese Family

Thank you dearly familia

The Mexinese Family

How was it making the Doenjang jigae/Soybean paste stew? Hope it turned out tasty

The Mexinese Family

Hello familia! No wonder their form was looking sharp haha

The Mexinese Family

We have always wondered so thanks for letting us know lol

The Mexinese Family

They all have separate managers each and a few other team managers if you're wondering so they have a whole ass managing team. Jimin's personal manager would have been the one to get his bag most likely :)

adz

I'm so proud that even if I'm still not fluent in korean, I know all of this.. All thanks to my 15yrs of history with K-dramas! Hahahahahh.. :D But this is such a nice and easy way to teach others, just so we can atleast understand certain words so thank you for this fam.. :)

nikki

Dak-Galbi is marinated diced chicken. Dak means chicken, and Galbi means ribs.. But Dakgalbi does not use chicken ribs. I honestly don’t know why we call it that.. Anyway, if you see Dak in the name of any korean dishes, expect its main ingredient to be chicken. I think lot of people already know Gimbap. It is korean roll, similar to sushi. Gim means dry seaweed; Bap means rice - so Rice rolled in a dry seaweed! lol Gimbap is made of rice, lots of vegetables and cooked meats, so people who don’t like raw fish can enjoy it too! It is not same as Japanese style rolls (sushi) So don’t be afraid to try ;) ‘Bap’ in the name of any Korean dish means made with rice. Bibim-bap is a good example (Namjoon mentioned it in this episode as their soul food). Kimchi Bokken-bap (kimchi fried rice) also has bap in its name. Few others, Myeon is noodle (Ex. we pronounce it ra-myeon=ramen and Naengmeyon in this episode) Guk is soup, Goki is meat. I just thought this might help anyone who wish to try Korean food or planning to visit/re-visit Korea!

Daylight

Vienna Austria! I had a wonderful trip in 2016 and wish to visit once more when the world is stable .. Anyone from Austria?

Daylight

Brazil and swiss? (I'm learning how to read hangul at the moment)

Jana

Can t wait for you to see the next episode! You will love it, especially the beginning part! 😊❤️

Also, the style of painting Joon is doing is pointillism. I'm not an expert but I believe it's a type of impressionism (where you use a lot of colors in a lot of individual brush-strokes--or here "dots"--to create an image). Georges Seurat is the most famous pointillist I can think of...I bet if you googled him you'd recognize some of the work. I'm not great at creating palettes--it takes a very abstract eye to see all the colors in a field most would call "green"--but what Namjoon is doing is honestly so impressive. And the PATIENCE. Oof. I could never. haha

SNBangtan

Jin: "Why do you look so mad?" Hobi: "Angry? Hungry? Yes, I'm hangry." Also, Jinkook and JiHope were so funny and adorable this whole episode like the BONDs.

SNBangtan

Also the tongs and scissors is a very korean thing. Koreans use scissors a lot when cooking.

Hibz

Hi Familia!!! 💜 The boys know about baseball because it is one of the most popular sports in Korea. On several occasions they have mentioned having played when they were little.

WandaG

If given the chance, I would love to go back to Seoul familia! Also,Tae’s mom must’ve made the gimbap real early that morning. Gimbap doesn’t taste the same if it’s made the night before or if it’s been put in the fridge. And I make sure I’m full or I’m eating while watching In the Soop otherwise I would be very hungry watching them eat 😅. I made my own version of Doenjang jigae/Soybean paste stew after this episode came out. Usually I just buy it but Yoongi made me try and cook it myself 😋💜💜💜

florilene

I dont know if you guys caught when they were talking about the radio show. In fact, they were talking about Kkul Fm that yoongi hosted once a week on vlive during may. He had a new member as a guest every week and the last week, all the members were together.

Hibz

I used to draw and color it by dots like what RM do , the size was just 12x18 and it took me almost a whole day to finished it. It look so easy but it is definitely not easy to do, we have to use the pencil to draw the picture first and start to figure out what color we have to dots on every each spot so yes really patience for do that. Yeahhh I'm so happy finally the block project Jhope and RM can put it together they was working hard on it, finally it come out pretty good.

Lynich Seang

Jimin and yoongi are gaming buddies these days. They've talked about it a bit recently. It's an induction stove top so only certain pots and pans work. No, Jimin doesn't like seafood. He only eats a little bit of it but he's quite vocal about not liking much of it.

About the Rrrrrrrap Monster, an older man was randomly asked on the streets if he knew BTS, so he said yeah and mentioned RM, not completely sure of the rest though

deejebekosmos⁷

The scene where V was flipping the baseball bat, it's a reference to TWILIGHT too, and they even posted it on TWITTER, this scene and the scene from TWILIGHT.
