"Size Difference World" Game Devlog

By popular demand via my email helengiantesspost@gmail.com, I'm making the new devlog entry about the game Size Difference World. Fortunately, I have some free time on my hands right now.

This game is not abandoned at all, as many might think. But this game is overly complicated, so it's relegated to second place behind size-difference platformer Final Exam.

Anyone who has been following my activity for a while knows that the game has been changed many times since development began. The most recent working build was from April 14, 2024.

When I moved all the content from the Google drive to the feed of this page, I did not move the working build of Size Difference World as it was too large to publish as part of a post on this page. I wanted to send the archive with the working build to paid subscribers upon request. But that idea didn't turn out to be a good idea, so I've made some changes.

The working build is now back on Google Drive. See the link in the pinned post for paid subscribers on the main page. For security reasons, the link will change periodically as before. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but the game archive was too large to attach to the post.

This is the last build that can start and run. After this variant build, I made other changes as possible, experimenting a lot. So far, the new build variants don't look any better than the current one, which is why I'm not posting them. As I said before, my priority is the Final Exam game. That's what I make periodic posts about in the appropriate devlog.

I know that most of my followers like Size Difference World more than Final Exam. I like that game better too, even though I love retro-style platformers. But let's be honest, such a big and complex project is very hard to do alone. It may happen that this game will never be finished because of the enormity of it.

I'll still be working on Size Difference World as much as possible, making concept art for it and creating new locations. It'll just be less frequent than the Final Exam game.

Well, I don't have much else to say at the moment. As long as I have some free time, I'll try to devote a little more time to Size Difference World development. However, that may change when I find an extra job in my town again. I've already told so many times in past posts about my life situation that I don't think I need to repeat it. If anyone is interested, please read past posts.
