(Better late than never) Yes he did. If you rewatch the SSJ4 Goku vs Baby fight you see that SSJ4 allows it’s user to absorb energy. Hell Goku even absorbed a spirit bomb like attack with it. So it makes sense that the much older and more experienced Vegito would be able to do this too
