Q&A #2 (Extra)
Added 2025-05-19 20:34:59 +0000 UTCI put this question aside because I liked it, but it needed a bit more thought than the rest, and then… I forgot about it, so here is one last question from the Q&A!
Q: Who is the strongest character in the game? Can you powerscale the characters?
E: I try to stay clear of that can of worms, but I have a little list with the strongest few from a scrapped Arena thing where you would fight/train the usually non-fighters. I won’t list everyone, and this is more of a “Lore power” and not as much as in-game power levels. (Just as an example, in-game, you can make Nameless one-shot bosses, in-lore, she isn’t really that useful in a fight.)
The list is in a vacuum. The protagonist is considered at the end of the game. He is the strongest character outside of the bullshit levels of power. There are some pretty huge gaps in power between some of the characters.
The list has spoilers, I guess.
Divine Power - Goddess
Strange Maids - Mia and Nia (Both together as one entity)
Some Divine Power - Kiria
Him - Protagonist
High Cultists - Obscuria/Eos
“Perfect Experiments” - Peach/Boo
Dragon Nobles - Hellena/Yra/Illyana (In this order)
Spirits - Ayla/Bum-Bum
Properly Trained Experiments - Lene/Hildegard
Magic Powers - Falk
Strange Maids - Mia/Nia (Individual power)
Experiments - Nihil/62
Trained to Kill - Eris/Viz
Can fight, but isn’t good or trained at it - Nameless/Hapi/Jill/Sarah/Celeste/Elinnie/Clarine
Non-Fighters/Negligible fighting skills - Everyone else

A lot of the older characters that are only there to "make the town lived in" feel like they could use more interactions. I hope I'll get the opportunity to flesh them out a bit more. As for the twins, I do hope to do some extra stuff for them, as what/who they are is a bit too vague, even for my standards.

2025-05-20 21:22:36 +0000 UTCA generic guard would be below Eris/Viz, although there is a pretty massive gap between those two and the group below! And yeah, in the game setting, males are physically stronger than females! Something, something, a side effect from the goddess power condenses the strength of various males denied of existing into the few lucky ones. An average male would be around Nihil/62 in terms of raw power. But it doesn't matter much if you can crush a boulder with your bare hands if you can't touch your opponent. Trained males, on the other hand, should land around Lene/Hildegard power! At the beginning of the game, in-lore, the protagonist should be around there in terms of raw strength.

2025-05-20 00:50:43 +0000 UTCI'm wondering how this compares to the average fighting power of the setting. Where do the generic female guards seen in some quests fall on this list? Around Eris/Viz level? And men are a lot stronger then women in the setting as a rule right? Where would your "average" male fit into this list? How much stronger is the male MC when compared to a typical combat trained male?
