Comparison of the Decay Characteristics of Vactrols Available from China
Added 2024-08-12 13:44:28 +0000 UTCVactrols (analog photocouplers) are becoming increasingly difficult to produce due to the harmful chemicals used in their manufacturing, making them limited and expensive components. However, vactrols produced in China are available globally through platforms like AliExpress at a low cost of around $1 per piece.
I measured the decay characteristics of three types of vactrols available on AliExpress:
LCR0202
LCR0203
LCR1506
The images show the measurement results. For comparison, I also measured the curve of the NSL7053, which is commonly used in several low-pass gate modules.
In the near future, I plan to design a low-pass gate module using these vactrols.
