Electronic Component Shops in Akihabara

During my visit to the Tokyo Festival Of Modular, I also toured electronic component shops in Akihabara, Tokyo.
Akihabara is well-known for its shops related to anime, games, and a wide array of electronic components.
While it's easy to purchase electronic components online, the unique underground vibe of Akihabara's parts shops holds a special charm.

Here are the stores I visited:

  1. Akizuki Denshi
This is the most famous electronic component shop in Japan. It stocks a wide variety of parts used in synthesizers, including items like the 3340 chip.
  2. Sengoku Densho
An entire floor dedicated to guitar parts, offering items like pickup coils, variable resistors, and a diverse range of knobs.
  3. Denki no Ken-chan (Ken-chan's Electronics)
Here, you can find niche PCB ASSY made by individuals.
They have several boards using Yamaha's FM sound source IC.
I bought a small Arduino UNO R4-compatible board here.

The stores look lovely! Unfortunately here in Italy there aren't a lot left :(

It is somewhat more expensive, but since it is sold on amazon in Japan, you may be able to use a proxy service. https://www.amazon.co.jp/FLINT-ProMicro-R4/dp/B0CFHFFTJ6

Where can I purchase the FLINT ProMicro R4 for shipment to Canada? The sellers listed on their page ship only in Japan. Or, should I use a proxy service?

Man I wish we had this in New Zealand, just crappy consumer level shops or Aliexpress lol

Thank you so much for your articles about the synth- and electronic-shops in Japan. I will travel to Japan in March and April (coming from Germany) and will visit all your recommendations :)
