Idea : Passive claves drum circuit

Proposed claves percussion circuit with gate input as power source.
I will not assemble it because of a few bad points.
1. It is difficult to adjust the frequency. If the impedance is out of balance, it will not attenuate and will not stop oscillating.
2. The output voltage is small, so there is a lot of noise during the amplification process.
Comments
I guess with a TL072 buffering the input and output it might behave better ? But then I suppose that defeats the purpose since it wouldn't be passive, but more like many other twin-T percussion circuits.
