Hello !

You guys chose for me to react to Invincible, but you know how it is, I try it on my own after that and I have the final word on it : the rule being that, not only my reactions need to be cool to watch, but also that I want to have things to discuss, theories to make, I want to be able to analyze the development of the characters, the narrative arcs etc. With this first episode of Invincible, I had some doubts at first.

The episode is almost entirely the plot of all superheroes movies, with the young boy discovering he has powers and a mentor teaches him how to use them, so he can fight back the bully who annoyed him at school and he can then become a hero himself. And you know your girl has issues appreciating superheroes movies and shows, with The Boys universe being one exception. But the hidden scene totally shocked me and convinced me this show has a lot more to offer, and that it's gonna get darker and deeper with time. I'm in !
